Zopp Family Dental Center

Dr. Zopp graduated with honors from James Madison University and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry (Medical College of Virginia). Upon graduating from JMU, Dr. Zopp worked at Merck in Elkton. His wife, Kate, completed her student teaching at Elkton Elementary School and then went on to become Richmond Public School's 2013 Teacher of the Year. Dr. Zopp practiced in Northern Virginia for three years prior to purchasing Davis Dental Center in March 2016. Dr. Zopp and Kate have two boys, Noah and Luke, and currently reside in Rockingham County. Dr. Zopp is a member of the American Dental Association and Virginia Dental Association.

Dr. Amanda Knestrick graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Medial Technology prior to attending dental school. After obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the WVU School of Dentistry, she practiced in Pennsylvania and West Virginia before moving to Virginia. Dr. Knestrick lives with her husband, Mark, and their daughter, Mia, in Penn Laird. She has loved exploring the valley since moving here last year.

Dr. Knestrick enjoys working with patients to achieve a healthy mouth and a happy smile. Currently she is a member of various professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and Harrisonburg Study Club.

Ive had the pleasure of being part of the Dental world since 2006! Im passionate about being an advocate for our patients. Theres nothing like the satisfied look on a patients face when theyve navigated the sometimes confusing world of insurance/financing, and the unknown treatment to come out on the other end with an even bigger, better smile. Calming fears, answering questions and helping to make treatment possible, especially in a relaxed atmosphere, is rewarding to me.

Hello, I am Lena Atkins. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist here at Zopp Family Dental Center. I live in Shenandoah, Virginia and have three wonderful children. I graduated in 2008 from Lord Fairfax Community College with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. I started working as a dental assistant in 2001 and I am going into my sixteenth year of dentistry. I enjoy helping my patients feel comfortable and at ease as well as providing them with quality care.

Hello, my name is Karen Michael. I live in Harrisonburg, Virginia with my husband Roger and our son Jonathan. I have been working in the dentistry field for over 20 years. I have such a deep compassion and love for patients and their needs. My job encompasses all aspects of dentistry; including meeting the needs of the Dentist, employees, and patients. It is truly a privilege to be a part of such a caring team.

My name is Kaitlin Hensley and I live in Elkton, Virginia. I graduated from Massanutten Technical Centers Dental Assisting Program in 2016. I am now a dental assistant here at Zopp Family Dental Center and enjoy every minute of it. I love having a rewarding career that allows me to make a difference in peoples lives.

I graduated from Wytheville Community College in 1996 and moved to Elkton in February 1997. As a wife and mom of two daughters, Im passionate about the health and well-being of each one of my patients.

Hello, my name is Lisa Dorsey. I live in Elkton, Virginia with my husband and three beautiful children; Arieanna, Eddie, and Ezra. I have been a Dental Assistant for over 15 years. I enjoy dentistry and I enjoy seeing people smile. I completed the Dental Assisting Program at Massanutten Technical Center in 2005 and continued my dental education through Chapel Hill and Wake Forest University. I currently am studying Psychology at Liberty University.
