Dr. Matthew Larsen grew up on a ranch in northern Utah. Prior to dental school, he attended Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Saskatchewan in 2003. He then began his dental career here in Billings, Montana. Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Larsen has kept up to date with many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care.
The more I learned about dentistry, the more I realized that it was a very technical and artistic field to be in. I love working with my hands. I love problem solving. I really got to enjoy the small and technical details of dentistry.
Then, as I started to learn what sort of problems people havebecause I'd never really had a lot of issues with my teeth, I've always been really blessed with good teeth and good genetics from my parents, but when I started to find that the pain that people had and the suffering that they went through when they had tooth problems, it really became very empowering to me to be able to help them with that and to be able to solve those problems.
Going into dentistry, I really had no idea what I was doing, but the love that I've developed for it over the years, it's just completely changed my perspective about it. Now, not only is it my work, but it's my passion to be able to find out creative ways to help people solve their problems, and help get them out of pain, and help them be able to chew, and help them be able just to live life, and smile, and be happy.
One thing patients always notice about Dr. Larsen is that he loves his job. In addition to constantly learning, he values developing relationships with his patients. People are the most important aspect of his work, and theres nothing like giving someone a brand-new smile. Thats why he has worked to develop the necessary skills to place and restore implants. Dr. Larsen believes the best reward is seeing patients smile with a full set of beautiful, natural-looking teeth.
Dr. Larsen knows that giving back to the community is essential to enjoying life and helping others enjoy life, so he is involved in several community service activities such as Give a Child a Smile, Special Olympics, and Boy Scouts of America.
He and his wife have three boys and one girl. He loves the whole Montana lifestyle, which involves hiking, fishing, camping, skiing, and four wheeling. He also likes to play basketball, read, watch movies, and keep up to date on new technology gadgets when he isnt involved in a home improvement project or manicuring the lawn.
Dr. Chase Pearson is a Montana native who grew up on his family farm in Fairfield, Montana. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, after doing his undergraduate work at Montana State University-Billings in biology with a minor in business administration.
I grew up here, in Montana, and I always wanted to do something in the health profession. Dentistry just allows me to get to know the people in the community and provide a service for people that is essential for people's health and well-being and for their smile. It helps them feel confident in themselves.
The most rewarding aspect of dentistry is when you're able to get to know the patients, you get to develop a relationship with them and be able to gain their trust so that they trust you, as a professional, to be able to help them, to build the confidence in themselves, and be able to smile and be healthy.
Dr. Pearson earned additional training because of his excellent patient care and academic achievement in a General Practice Residency program at Summa Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio. The residency program provided him with advanced training in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, dental emergencies, and dental implants.
Dr. Pearson cares about his patients, working hard to get to know each person individually. Thats also what has motivated him to become IV sedation certified. No one should have to feel anxious or nervous about going to the dentist, and sometimes dental anxiety cant be helped. Dr. Pearson understands that dental phobia isnt personal, but his approach to treating it is. Like Dr. Larsen, he always prioritizes patients and relationships. Originally from the Sunset State, Dr. Sirounian grew up in a family that worked in healthcare, and understands what it means to truly care for patients. Dr. Sirounian attended The University of Arizona in Tucson, for a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with minors in Biochemistry and Creative Writing.
Dr. Sirounian completed a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University in Hollywood, FL, while working as an assistant rowing coach for a local high school rowing team. She then went on to attend LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, FL, to receive her Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
Continuing education is important for patient care. Dr. Sirounian is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is a lifelong learner and is actively involved in ongoing education to provide the care and attention patients deserve.
Dr. Sirounian understands the power of a healthy, confident smile. She is a good listener, and is dedicated to providing healthcare centered on a patients unique goals and loves getting to know the families of her patients.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and knitting. Dr. Sirounian is also a fan of both cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. She is excited for the opportunity to live closer to her family in Idaho and get back to fly fishing.
