I have two uncles who are dentists so I was exposed to the profession rather early. I really enjoy being able to help individuals and dentistry often allows you to do so relatively quickly. I have an easy going personality, as well as having had a lot of dental work as a child makes me empathetic toward the patient situation.
Being able to help people is the main reason I enjoy being a dentist. Many individuals have had a bad visit at some point in the past and this often keeps them from visiting the dentist for many reasons. Although this can pose a challenge at first, I take pride in making my patients feel as comfortable and as in control as possible. The greatest compliment is patients telling me that they no longer have anxiety about visiting the dentist
Always trying to be the best at what I do is the main thing that keeps me motivated. Knowing that someones oral health is my responsibility keeps me interested in refining techniques and staying up to date with the latest technology in order to provide the absolute best treatment for my patients
Most of my time spent outside of the office is following my 1 1/2 year old dog, Kevin, around and doing my best to keep him out of too much trouble, I also like to work out and when weather permits be outside. I especially enjoy golfing and try to get out on the course as much as possible. For as much as I play and enjoy the game, Id like to eventually have a round where I dont top a ball off the tee. I actually grew up on a smaller golf course and we would always find golf balls in our back yard. This came in very handy replacing golf balls that I tend to lose often.
I love the Husker football team and Creighton basketball team. I went to Creighton however, where there was obviously no football team so I feel as if Im justified in being what some may refer to as a Jaysker. I also grew up loving the Seattle Mariners, however, they have continued to break my heart for as long as I can remember
My parents. I would argue with anyone that I have the best Mom and Dad in the whole world. If it wasnt for their hard work and sacrifices, I would have never been able to achieve the goals I have in my life
