Dr. Howarth is a Delaware County native and graduated from Springfield High School. He attended Penn State University receiving his B.S. in financeand the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, receiving his D.M.D.
His background includes 10 years of teaching Preclinical & Clinical Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania where he became one of six clinical group leaders. Additionally, he taught physiology for two years at Penn State University.
Like his father before him, Dr. Willard A. Howarth, he is a member of the Mathew Cryer Society, a distinction honored to the top 10 dental students in his class at Penn. He is also a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, representing the top 10% of Dental Students in the country.
He is married to Janet, and is the father of Kristin, Jennifer and Steve Jr. In addition to his love for model railroading, he also enjoys woodworking, photography, backpacking, and is in the never-ending process of restoring his 135 year old home
Dr.Howarth is a native of Delaware County and graduated Marple Newtown High School. He then attended Penn State University and received a B.S. in Life Sciences and was honored by graduating Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Howarth is the third generation of his family to receive his dental education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he graduated with his D.M.D. and was awarded with the ICOI Predoctoral Student Achievement Award.
Dr. Howarth is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Delaware/Chester County Dental Association. When he is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys trips into the city with his wife, Nicole. Both of them are avid fans of Penn State football and frequently attend games.
Dr. Galson grew up in Haverford Pennsylvania and attended Episcopal Academy, from which he graduated in 1962. He received his B.S. in chemistry from Lafayette College in 1966 and attended University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, graduating with his D.M.D. in 1970. After leaving school he taught operative dentistry at Penn for three years.
Dr. Galson enjoys tennis, backpacking, skiing and mountain climbing. His love for cars and racing is reflected in his involvement with vintage sports car racing up and down the East Coast, Canada and the Midwest. He enjoys the mechanical work as well as the actual racing and has restored several Porsches and a Jaguar. He has climbed several 14,000 ft. peaks in Colorado and most of the high peaks in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
Dr. Galson having officially retired in January 2013 is enjoying his free time. He has been traveling, working on his cars, spending time with his grandchildren and he even finds time to stop in and visit us here in the office.
She has been in the dental field over 30 years and is knowledgeable about dental procedures and insurance. She is happy to answer patient questions and concerns and takes the burden off of our patients by following up on dental insurance claims.
Our dental hygienists are licensed, educated and experienced, and assist in the initial examinations, diagnosis and x-ray procedures as well as providing routine and specialized cleanings - taking special care to provide a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for patients.
Betsy grew up in West Virginia and attended University of Pittsburgh for dental hygiene and her B.S. for Health Related Professions.She has been in practice with Dr. Howarth Since 1986! The patients have become like family over the years.
Jolene has been married to her husband Tom since September of 1992. They enjoy traveling to different islands for vacation. They also spend time working around their house and like tospending time with family.
She has two daughters both living in Sunny Florida and one beautiful granddaughter which is the joy of her life. Lisa tries to visit as much as she can. Lisa loves animals of all kinds and has several grand doggies she loves visiting.
She studied at Baltimore County Community College for radiology and Delaware County Community College for a degree in health science. She loves to learn and wants to use her education and experience to create a comfortable space for patients and coworkers.
