Dr. Waibel was born and raised in Russia, where, from the age of six, she competed in local and international English-language competitions, receiving multiple first-place awards and recognitions, sparking her desire to one day live in an English-speaking country. As she was growing up, she had to wear a retainer to correct an overbite. When her dentist handed her a mirror at the end of her treatment, she was overwhelmed with emotion, and from that moment on, she knew that she wanted to give that same feeling to others.Dr. Waibel got her opportunity to realize her dream and move to the United States at the age of 20, while working on a Bachelors degree in Tourism and Hospitality. Wasting no time at all, she was enrolled at Temple University on her journey to a career in dentistry within three months of her arrival to Philadelphia. Dr. Waibels passion for dentistry and dedicated work ethic allowed her to flourish and graduate a year early while more than doubling the graduation requirements. To this day, she continues her education, learning from some of the most renowned and innovative names in dentistry to ensure her patients always receive the most advanced and effective treatment possible.When Dr. Waibel isnt practicing dentistry, she is spending time with her two children, Mark and Leo. A self-proclaimed foodie, she loves cooking and trying new restaurants, then hitting a game of tennis or paddleball.
