Dr. Chang is native to Washington Metropolitan area, growing up in Silver Spring, Maryland. He then earned his undergraduate degree at University of Virginia in Biology and Economics. Dr. Chang earned his dental degree from University of Pennsylvania with Health Professional Scholarship Program from the U.S. Army. He decided to pursue additional training and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Medical Center with Dr. Strickland as co-residents. He has spent the past four years serving at Fort Polk, Louisiana as the Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Strickland earned a Masters Degree in Public Health at the University of South Florida before completing his dental degree at Columbia University. He completed his residency training at Walter Reed and Bethesda. Dr. Strickland has spent the past four years serving at Fort Bragg, North Carolina as an attending surgeon, training oral surgery residents. He served as Assistant Program Director for the residency program, and Director of Clinical Research for the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He also served on the Womack Army Medical Center IRB committee, reviewing medical research proposals for ethicality and efficacy.
