Dr. Velasco has called the San Francisco Bay Area home for the past 23 years. He was born in Carmel, California, but was raised in Reno, Nevada. In 1992, He graduated with a B.S. Degree in PreDentistry from the University of Nevada, Reno, and in 1995, he graduated with a D.D.S Degree from the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry. In 1998, he opened up his practice in the City, in the heart of Union Square at 490 Post Street.
Dentistry is not just work for him, it is his passion! So every January, he joins medical missions to the Philippines with other health professionals, where they set up their own out patient clinic and hospital. During the missions, they give free medical, dental, and surgical care for the local people in that area.
Besides Dentistry, Dr. Velasco enjoys staying healthy Running, weight lifting, biking, tennis, basketball, and softball are just a few of the things he enjoys. Hes a big fan of the University of Nevada Wolf Pack, Oakland Raiders, Oakland Athletics, and the Golden State Warriors!
