Dr. James Kimwas born in Taegu, South Korea. When he was two months old his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia.Dr. Kimhas always enjoyed working with his hands, and as a teenager his hobbies included building model airplanes and origami, the Asian art of folding paper. His dream of becoming adentistwas born when, as a high school student, he visited a friends fathers practice and saw the positive impactdentistrymade in peoples lives.Dentistry, he decided, was right down his alley, allowing him to exercise his technical skill while helping others.
Dr. Kimcompleted his Bachelors Degree in Biology at Emory University in 1992, continuing on to Temple University School of Dentistryto attain his DMD Degree in 1996. He continues to expand his education within his field, not only out of a commitment to excellent care, but also out of a true passion for the practice of dentistry. Recent additions to his services includeSix Month Smilesaccelerated orthodontics,Invisalignclear braces, and minimally invasive, scalpel-free laser surgery withPerioLase. He considers dentistry his true calling in life, and takes great pride in providing gentle, qualitydental careand developing long-lasting relationships with his patients.
He and his wife, Jennifer, live inTucker,Georgia, whereDr. Kimhas been practicing family andcosmetic dentistrysince 1997.Dentistry has proven to be the challenging and rewarding career he always wanted, and he couldnt imagine a better place to practice: when he moved toTucker, he says, it felt like home. The Kims love serving and being a part of the Tucker community. In his free time, Dr. Kim enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife, two sons, Dylan and Ryan, and daughter, Julianne.
