Our history began in 1977, when Dr. Robert Hammond established his dental practice in Laguna Hills with the goal of creating a practice where good experiences were created. His practice was built on the strong belief in helping others, supporting individual health, and building a strong community. In 2017, Dr. Hammond announced his retirement from dentistry and selection of Dr. Don Nguyen & Dr. Vivienne Ngo, a USC trained husband and wife dental team from the Orange County area to carry on his legacy of dental excellence & the Trojan tradition.
The Hills Modern Dentistry was established by the doctors with the goal of serving their community with a distinct level of dental care and compassion from caring and family-friendly professionals. Dr. Vivienne Ngo, or Dr. Vivienne as she is known, immigrated to New Orleans, Louisiana from Vietnam at the age of one before moving to Southern California for the remainder of her childhood. As an Orange County native, she attended Fountain Valley High School and later earned her Bachelors Degree in International Studies from the University of California, Irvine. During her undergraduate studies, Dr. Vivienne worked as a dental assistant where she developed an inherent appreciation for the dental field and the satisfaction derived from providing dental care to patients. As a result of her passion for Dentistry, she pursued and earned a Dental Degree from theUniversity Of Southern California School Of Dentistry.
Dr. Vivienne has made listening and caring the cornerstone of her practice of Dentistry. She believes that patients need to have a chance to say what concerns them, and after gathering information through examination and X-rays, an informative explanation of their choices. Along with her education, being an associate dentist in family private practices in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas have provided her the skills to be a proficient and efficient practitioner in the treatment of crowns & bridges, root canal therapy, removable prosthethics, Invisalign & pediatrics. She is an active member of theAmerican Dental Association,California Dental Association, andOrange County Dental Society.
Aside from dentistry, Dr. Vivienne finds adventure in traveling the world and exploring new foods and cultures with her husband, Dr. Don, their daughter Sofie-Rose, and son Bennett-James. Her other hobbies include spending time with family, cooking, working out and reading. Dr. Vivienne is also fluent in English, Vietnamese and conversational German.
I have received great personal reward from dentistry over the last 40 years, however the time has come for me to retire from my dental practice and concentrate on enjoying life with my family. After a long and careful search, I have chosen the right dentists to take over my dental practice. Dr. Don Nguyen and Dr. Vivienne Ngo are a husband and wife dental team from the Orange County area who earned their Dental Degrees from my alma Mater, the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Their enthusiastic and caring manners are closely aligned with my philosophy of care. With their combined experience and education I assure you that excellent dental care will continue. They will also offer specialty services including digital x-rays, invisalign orthodontics, root canal therapy, pediatrics and cosmetic dentistry all of which they are proficient and competent at. Like me, they love dentistry and are excited to meet you and continue serving your dental needs. Interestingly, Dr. Don has aspired to becoming a dentist since he was nine years old.
