Infection control has always been a top priority, and you may have seen this during your recent visits in the past. Our processes are made so that when you receive care, its both safe and comfortable.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the California Dental Association, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. We closely follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies recommendation.
Dr. Kamile Lim has called California her home for most of her life. She attended University of the Pacific in Stockton, where she received her B.S. in Biology with a business management minor. She then attended University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2014 with awards of excellence in implant dentistry and community service. Following her belief in giving back, Dr. Lim has provided free dental care at CDA Cares events and the Berkeley Free Clinic. She has also served in a mission trip to serve those in need of dental care in rural Jamaica. Dr. Lim enjoys organizing and participating in a variety of volunteer events, both dental related and community based. Dr. Lim is an avid believer in continuing education. She enjoys learning the newest techniques and researching the most up to date technology in dentistry. Staying ahead of the curve on advanced dentistry, patients can rest assured that they are receiving the highest quality of care with Dr. Lim. Dr. Kamile Lim is committed to providing quality, lifetime dentistry to her patients. She treats her patients as if they were her family. She strives to provide a comprehensive patient-centered care where every patient is knowledgeable about their dental health, from diagnosis to treatment plan completion. When not in the office, Dr. Lim enjoys cooking, hiking and spending time outdoors with her husband, 2 sons, and her boxer, Freya.
Dr. Nashwa Aziz-Elrashidy graduated from Michigan State University in 2006 with a Bachelors degree in Nutritional Science and went on to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where she graduated with honors in 2010. In 2011, she completed a General Practice Residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. Some of her most unique experiences there included: performing full mouth dental rehabilitation on pediatric and special needs patients in the operating room and providing care to underserved neighborhoods on a mobile dental unit. Following residency, Dr. Aziz joined a private practice in Chicago. After 4 very cold winters in Chicago, Dr. Aziz and her husband decided to relocate to the Bay Area in 2014. She has loved growing her family in this wonderful community, where she is a mom to two young children.
Dr. Aziz is committed to providing the best quality dental care to her patients in a kind and compassionate manner. She believes in treating patients as though they are family. As a lifelong learner, Dr. Aziz believes in expanding her skill set in a way that allows her to provide the most up to date treatment. She is passionate about the field of dentistry and continues to expand her knowledge through continuing education courses. Dr. Aziz had the opportunity to expand her knowledge of orthodontics through mentorship and has completed over 200 invisalign cases.
Dr. Johnston was born and raised in the East Bay. She has always loved art and science which led to her passion for dentistry. Dr. Johnston believes that she has a responsibility to her family of patients to provide the best oral healthcare possible. This includes partnering with her patients in the decision making process. She does her best to ensure that they receive care in a comfortable and safe environment. As a general dentist, Dr. Johnston has a wide range of expertise including restorative, implant and esthetic dentistry.
Dr. Johnston is a graduate of the University of California at Davis where she earned a Bachelor of Scence degree in Neurobiology Physiology and Behavior. She went on to graduate in 1999 from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry with a DDS degree. She graduated with honors earning her place into the TKO Dental Honor society. She also earned a coveted spot as one of four residents in the Advanced Clinical Experience Residency at UOP Dental School during which she completed advanced cosmetic cases, full mouth reconstruction training and provided instruction to dental students.
Dr. Johnston is committed to staying updated on current advances in dentistry. In addition to taking many continuing education courses, she is an ongoing member of the Partnership Study Group. Here, she meets with colleagues to discuss cases and participate in lectures with the goal of enhancing patient care. She believes that continuing education provides a direct benefit to her patients. When she is not in the office, Dr. Johnston enjoys spending time with her family, hiking the beautiful East Bay trails, photography, walking the new family puppy and learning how to mountain bike to keep up with her husband and daughters.
