Cris is one of our Dental Hygienists. She graduated from Westbrook College, is married and has one daughter and three cats. In her spare time, Cris volunteers at HART, the cat rescue group in Cumberland.
Becki is the office manager. She is a Graduate from the University of Maine Augusta with an associates degree. She has been a dental assistant for over ten years and was Dr. Keelings first assistant! Becki lives with her husband and two boys. She loves spending her free time outside camping, hiking, boating, and snowmobiling with her family.
Denka is our Financial Coordinator. Denka grew up in Germany and goes back yearly to visit family and friends. She lives in Maine with her husband, two sons, and three dogs. In her free time, she enjoys going for nature walks, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Nikki is one of our Dental Hygienists. She is a Portland native and recent graduate from the University of New England with a BS in Dental Hygiene. She enjoys spending her free time running outdoors with her German Shepard, painting and flipping thrift store clothing finds.
Camden is one of our newest team members. Camden was born and raised in Brewer, Maine and graduated from UMaine/Orono with her bachelors degree. She is now in her final year of dental hygiene school at UNE. Camden and her boyfriend have two small rescue dogs, and in their free time, they enjoy going to the beach, cooking and traveling.
Brittany is our front office coordinator and is a Portland native. Not only does Brittany work at The Dental Loft, she also owns a business, Casco Bay Creations, where she makes coastal inspired jewelry, clothing and home decor. Brittany lives in Portland with her husband and dog, and together they enjoy going to the beach and eating at their favorite restaurant, Brunos!
Adela is one of Dr. Keelings assistants. Not only does she work full time at The Dental Loft, she also is in school studying Health Sciences at Southern Maine Community College. She hopes to be a dental hygienist. In her spare time, Adela and her boyfriend Sam enjoy boating, fishing, kayaking and bowling with Adelas parents.
Heather Keeling is a professional and caring person 100% of the time. I dont have much money and am without dental insurance, but Dr. Keeling and her team always treated me with respect. Dr. Keeling did more for me than any other dentist had done in forty years. Up until January 2016, I didnt know who Dr. Keeling was. I needed a new dentist and after checking out a couple of other practices, I found Dr. Keeling. My wife also needed a new dentist, and I suggested she meet Dr. Keeling. We are both very pleased. I feel she is everything you would want in a dentist and a person. Dr. Keeling has gone above and beyond for me with all my dental issues, trying to get me help both in the office and on her own personal time with phone calls and letters, even though it doesnt benefit her.
The Root Cellar is so thankful for Dr. Heather Keeling. While she was studying to be a dentist, she used the skills she had to assist in our all-volunteer dental clinic. Herenthusiasm and heart for those less fortunate is evident as she continues to be a blessing, volunteering to serve many of the neglectedelderly, infirm, and unemployable neighbors of The Root Cellarwho endure pain and poor dental health here in the poor areas of Munjoy Hill in Portland, ME. Dr. Keeling has not let her busy schedule interfere with her volunteering, as she has now become a part of a team of dental professionals doing clinics on Saturdays! Thank you Dr. Keeling for restoring health and dignity to those in need!
Dr. Heather Keeling was born and raised in Maine. From a young age she always knew she wanted to explore a career in medicine, she wanted to treat patients, to give hands-on, compassionate care that improved patients health and quality of life. Dr. Keeling graduated from the University of New England with a Bachelors in Medical Biology, she then graduated from Boston University School of Medicine with a Masters in Oral Health Science. After considering her options and job shadowing a number of dentists, she decided to go to dental school.
Dr. Keeling earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Dalhousie University Dental School in Nova Scotia, Canada. From the very beginning Dr. Keeling was very involved in organized dentistry. She was president of the Dalhousie Dentistry Students Society and Eastern Regional Councilor of the Federation of Canadian Dentistry Student Association.
Dr. Keeling also co-organized the first group of students from Dalhousie University to travel and volunteer at a free dental clinic in an impoverished Guatemalan village. She continues to travel and volunteer at the same village in Guatemala.
To say Dr. Keeling is passionate about helping people is an understatement. Since graduating from dental school and returning home to Maine, she has continued volunteer work at the Root Cellar on Munjoy Hill, a non-profit dental clinic for Hill residents, and spends time advocating for patients in need.

In January 2017, Dr. Heather Keeling opened her own practice, The Dental Loft, which is a full-service, patient-centered dental practice located at 1250 Congress Street in Portland, Maine. Dr. Keeling is actively involved in Maines dental community. She currently serves as the President of the Maine Dental Association.
Dr. Keeling is also committed to staying on top of new developments in the dental field, averaging 100 hours a year in continuing education courses. She is currently a Faculty Club member of Spear and a member of the Casco Bay Study Club chapter of the Seattle Study Club.
She and her husband Matt live in Portland with their twoKing Charles Cavaliers, Charlie and Lilly. Together they enjoy working out, skiing, boating and checking out all of Portlands great restaurants!
