Born in Decatur, Dr. Tina Herington is a Georgia native. She received her Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Highest Honor from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1996. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 2001 and started Suwanee Family Dentistry that same year. Dr. Herington is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and the Hinman Dental Society.
Dr. Herington became a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry in June 2014. The Mastership program required five years to complete and required peer-reviewed case presentations in all areas of dentistry.
Dr. Anisha Nathu was born and raised in Macon, Georgia. She went to the University of Georgia, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology in 2012. After graduating from college, she made the move to Augusta, GA to attend the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University (formerly the Medical College of Georgia), where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2016.
During her time in dental school, Dr. Nathu served as class president, advocated important dental issues during National Dental Student Lobby Day in Washington, D.C, and volunteered at the Georgia Department of Public Health Fair.
Dr. Michelle McKenzie was born and raised in Lilburn, Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Georgia in 1998. After graduating from college, she took a year off and worked as a dental technician before attending the Medical College of Georgia where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2004.
While attending dental school, Dr. McKenzie served as class president, becoming the first female class president at the Medical College of Georgia. After graduating, she practiced general dentistry in Buford, Georgia for 15 years.
Dr. Abbott was born and raised in Marietta, GA. He went to The University of Alabama where he received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration in 2016. Before starting dental school, he lived in Atlanta, GA for a year where he worked with an oral surgeon as his personal assistant. In 2017, he moved to Augusta, GA to attend the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
Dr. Herington has a Commercial Pilot Certificate, Flight Instructor Certificate and has been a part-time flight instructor since 1996. Dr. Herington is also a member of the Leadership Gwinnett Class of 2007-08 and participates in the Brighter Smiles for Brighter Futures Campaign to raise money to support the fight against breast cancer.
Dr. Nathu enjoys providing compassionate care to the members of her community. She works hard to educate her patients about the importance of oral health care and enjoys getting to know every patient she treats. She is a member of the Georgia Dental Association and American Dental Association.
