Our goal is to provide every patient with the best service and care possible. To achieve this, we start looking after you the moment you walk into our modern dental office. This extends into our operatories, which are equipped with multiple channels of music and television to keep you relaxed and entertained.
We acknowledge the fact that many patients have a tendency to be fearful and apprehensive of the dentist. To address this, we use special techniques and the latest technologies to reduce the discomfort and anxiety often associated with dental procedures. One such solution you will find at our clinic is sedation dentistry using nitrous oxide. Its a simple and easy way of getting the dental work you need without having to worry about any pain!
At Studio City Dental Arts, led by Dr. Proshat Shahrestany, our commitment to service extends beyond the confines of our office. We use the latest in dental technologies, not just to serve our patients better, but to preserve the environment as well.
We only use digital X-rays that reduce patient exposure to radiation by as much as 80% and eliminate the production of hazardous waste at the same time. Although not a legal requirement in California, we use a dry vacuum system that saves enough water to fill three average-sized swimming pools annually. We also sterilize all dental instruments using the latest Class B sterilization technology, which is not yet required in the field of dentistry, but its something we believe is important to keep our patients safe.
Mercury exposure and disposal are of concern in dentistry as well, so we take the utmost care to remove mercury amalgam fillings. We use an amalgam separator to safely dispose of mercury and keep it out of the water supply. These are just a few examples of how we go beyond the duties of a typical dental practice to protect every patient and our environment.
While most other dental offices are happy to treat you like a walking set of teeth with a checkbook, we believe that our patients deserve a friendly and welcoming experience every time they come to see us. For our team, youre not just an economic opportunity, but a chance to form a long and fulfilling relationship that will enhance your health and appearance at the same time. From check-in to checkout and every moment in between, well make you feel well taken care of.
We hold the dental care we provide to an extremely high standard. Quality dental care looks natural, feels comfortable, and can be trusted to last, and thats exactly what we give each and every one of our patients. Whether youre coming in for a routine checkup or to get a custom-made crown, our skilled hands and advanced technology will ensure that you enjoy a seamless experience and beautiful results. Your smile only deserves the best, so thats exactly what youll find here at Studio City Dental Arts.
You could say that healthcare is in Dr. Shahrestanys blood. She is the daughter of a family physician and a midwife, and countless doctors, dentists, and pharmacists can be found among her beloved extended family as well. Some of her earliest memories are of family summer vacations, which involved trips to remote rural areas where her father would deliver desperately needed medicines and services to those in need. She saw the importance of these services from a very young age and how they could change lives for the better. Today, she still loves creating new smiles and meeting awesome people through her work!
Dr. Shahrestanys early teen years involved a lot of studying and skiing every weekend. At the age of 15, her parents made the difficult decision to send her to the United States to continue her studies. While being away from her family was difficult, this hard work paid off when she was admitted to UC Irvine for her undergraduate studies, followed by the top-ranked UCLA School of Dentistry. She completed dental school in 1999 and spent a decade working with a number of well-known Southern California dental offices before founding her practice.
Additionally, Dr. Shahrestany constantly attends continuing education courses in order to elevate her skills and keep them as up-to-date as possible. She has studied a wide variety of specialty services, including Invisalign Clear Braces, Six Month Smiles, extractions, cosmetic dentistry (particularly veneers), and endodontics. Today, she has nearly two decades of experience in the field overall. She is currently a member of the following organizations:
Dr. Shahrestany and her husband have a daughter named Mila and a son named Cameron. She has several hobbies outside of work, including going to concerts, seeing plays, hiking, enjoying nature, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Skiing is still one of her favorite sports, and shes also passionate about beautiful design and architecture if she wasnt a dentist, shed be an interior designer! Recently, she also decided to continue the family vacation tradition from her childhood by participating in a dental mission trip to Guatemala.
With 18 years of experience in the dental field, Danielle joined our team in 2021. So far, her favorite aspect of her job is working for a really good doctor who makes coming to work fun and exciting! A California native, she pursued her studies at Pierce College.
Danielle is very family-oriented, so she loves spending her time outside the office with her siblings, niece, nephews, and parents. Some of her other interests include cooking, riding her bike, shopping for antiques, and watching Netflix. Heres an interesting fact about her: she can type with her eyes closed!
