My dental journey began in Nevada, during my junior year of high school, when I started working part time for our family dentist. This path eventually led me to the Dental Hygiene Program at Sacramento City College, where I graduated (along with classmates Kelly and Kathy) in 1989. In September of the same year I joined the awesome team here at Peters Family Dental! It 's true what they say about time... it really does fly! I can 't believe I am on my 30th year at this fabulous office. I feel blessed to have developed great, long term relationships with my patients and teammates. It 's hard to believe that a 'part time, after school' job turned into a 35 year (and counting) professional career.
Having grown up in the country, I am really a cowgirl at heart. I live up in the mountains with my husband and in my free time I enjoy riding my horse and spending time with 'the kids'... 2 dogs, a horse and a parrot...OH MY!
My husband I have recently enjoy watching our daughter get married to a wonderful young man and look forward to the next chapter in our lives. I have stayed true to my roots and continue my country living on 16 acres in El Dorado Hills with my husband, 2 dogs, 2 horses, 2 cats and an abundance of wildlife.
This year celebrates my 29th year here at Peters Family Dentistry. I started my dental career as a Registered Dental Assistant and continued on to become a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1985. I have experienced life long relationships with both our staff and patients. I am so thankful that I have found this great office. It is a place to be for a lifetime!
I have enjoyed 34 years of marriage to my husband Rick, and we have two amazing daughters ages 23 and 26. I have to say I really am enjoying my girls as young women! I also enjoy a passion for photography, so when I'm not working on maintaining smiles as a dental hygienist, I am capturing smiles from behind the camera. It's a great combination of careers, I am truly blessed.
