Dr. Paul Hilfer was born and raised in International Falls, Minnesotaand completed his bachelors degree at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. His first USAF assignment was to attend the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Hilfer completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency. Following assignments with the USAF in Illinois, Korea, and Germany, Dr. Hilfer completed his endodontic training at LSU/Keesler Medical Center.
As a board certified endodontist, Dr. Hilfer served as Chief of Endodontics at Aviano Air Force Base in Italyand Endodontic Department Chair at one of the Air Forces largest AEGD training programs in Nebraska. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Hilfer hasmultiple publications in the Journal of Endodontics, and has lectured at local, national, and international endodontic and dental meetings.
Dr. Hilfer embraces all Minnesota has to offer. He is proud to now call Mankato home. He enjoys spending summers on the lakes with his wife, Julia, and two daughters, Vivian and Clara, as well as his winters watching and playing hockey.
Dr. Jennie Harris graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2011 and earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics in 2016. She received two years of endodontic specialty training at the University of Iowa and regularly increases her knowledge base by taking as many continuing education courses as her schedule will allow. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontics.
Dr. Harris and her husband, Chris, have twins, Patrick and Ella, and a baby girl, Harper.Rounding out the family is their goldendoodle, Bunker. When she is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her children, going out on the family fishing boat, biking, and golfing.
Dr. Kyle Nelson grew up in Minnesota. He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at University of Minnesota-Duluth where he earned a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, as well as a M.S. in Chemistry. He received his dental degree from the University of Minnesota School Of Dentistry. After graduating, Dr. Nelson served as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy in Great Lakes, Illinois and in Beaufort, South Carolina. While serving at multiple boot camps and observing the number of teeth endodontists were able to save, his experiences led him to specialize in endodontics at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, MD where he earned his certificate in Endodontics and a M.S. in Oral Biology. He maintains active memberships in the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Minnesota Dental Association.
Dr. Nelson and his wife Gretchen (originally from Mankato) and their three boys are very happy to be settled in Mankato. Life heavily revolves around the activities of the kids. When not chasing kids, he enjoys spending time at the lake boating and trying to get in a round of golf.
