Before we have a chance to meet in person, Id like to tell you a little about myself and my dental philosophy. After graduating from Northwestern University in Evanston, I completed dental school at the University Of Illinois College of Dentistry. An elective General Practice Residency program at Loyola University Medical Center provided me with advanced training in general dentistry, oral surgery, and general medicine. I began practicing at a large downtown office with high volume and followed that up at a small cosmetic practice in Wilmette. I have been the proud owner of Smiling Patient Dental Caresince 2004. The patients of this practice have become my friends over the years and I am truly honored to have the pleasure of treating so many wonderful people.

I am excited and proud to be part of the team at Smiling Patient Dental Care. Building relationships with patients has been one of my favorite aspects of providing dental care, and I am so lucky to be able to work with the great patients at SPDC!
Along with seeing patients here at the office, I am on the faculty as a Clinical Instructor at the UIC College of Dentistry with a focus on dental anatomy and restorative dentistry and an instructor for courses hosted by the Illinois State Dental Society.
During my time in dental school, I participated in the honors track and served as the class representative to both the Chicago Dental Society and Illinois State Dental Society. Additionally, I was awarded the Frances Best Watkins Award in recognition of outstanding leadership skills and excellent academic standing, the Dr. Gerson Gould and Mr. Sol. H. Gould Memorial Scholarship and the Dr. Marshall W. Milnarik Scholarship, both in recognition of clinical and academic excellence.
I am an active member of the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the Shannon Rovers Irish Pipe Band. My wife and I live in Chicago and are excited to welcome our first child later this year!
Dr. Jennifer Shango Adhami graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy with a bachelors degree in biochemistry. She continued her education at the University of Detroit Mercys dental school serving as the student body president. She went on to receive her masters degree in Oral Sciences and Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Illinois-Chicago.
Today, Dr. Adhami works as full-time private practitioner performing procedures limited to periodontics and implant dentistry. She is a current member of the American Dental Society, the American Academy of Periodontology, Midwest Society of Periodontics, Chicago Dental Society, and Illinois State Dental Society.
Dr. Adhami is constantly motivated to improve the lives of her patients and strives to provide an environment where patients feel protected and listened to. In her private life, Dr. Adhami enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending quality with her loving husband Jawad and son Daniel.
