Dental exams and checkups also give insight into your diet, nutrition, and oral hygiene habits, which may lead to small, suggested changes to help maintain improve proper oral hygiene and health at home. These small changes help avoid many common dental problems like tooth decay, cavities, plaque buildup, gum disease, gum recession, and gingivitis. Oral exams may also provide early signs of systemic diseases and chronic health problems that affect your overall health like coronary artery disease, diabetes, and strokes.
A dental-care plan that includes routine dental visits, a good daily-dental-care routine (twice-daily brushing and flossing), and maintaining a balanced diet is essential for your overall healthy lifestyle. These simple actions help avoid more serious problems later and often result in strong teeth and healthy gums for your entire life.
We take great pride in providing our patients with high-quality dental care by using the most advanced technology available today! We believe our precise combination of knowledge, skill and technology enables us to deliver optimum results for each of our patients.
We are proud to utilize high-resolution digital photography to capture detailed images of your mouth, thus enabling us to maintain sharp, accurate records and keep you thoroughly informed of your treatment progress.
Digital X-rays, or radiographs, are also used in our office to provide us with invaluable information about your oral and dental health. By placing a wireless sensor in your mouth and using high-tech computer software, we are able to generate digital images of your mouth significantly faster than traditional X-rays. Not only are they friendly to the environment, they are much safer than traditional X-rays, reducing your radiation exposure by 90 percent!
The standard X-ray is essential in determining any dental problems you may have, but unfortunately, it may not reveal everything happening inside your mouth. We are proud to use an intraoral camera in our office.
An intraoral camera can project an image of your tooth onto a monitor, so you can see the problem in a magnified version and how we can correct the issue. It can also identify problems that may not be detected by the general means of examination, including cracks in your fillings or fractured teeth. Similar to the size and design of a dental mirror, an intraoral camera allows you to make better decisions regarding your treatment as you can see the same things we see.
Early detection is the key to preventing severe dental complications so we utilize the most advanced technology available to assist us in detecting cavities at their start. Laser cavity detection increases the possibility of detecting cavities at their earliest stages so we can correct the problem sooner, helping you maintain a beautiful, healthy smile for a lifetime.
Laser cavity detection has been proven to be over 90 percent successful in detecting even the smallest lesions that arent even noticed on X-rays! This procedure is simple, quick and pain-free, and most of all, it helps preserve the overall health of your smile!
We value your time and are committed to providing you with the latest technologies available to provide efficient, effective treatment. We proudly utilize CAD/CAM technology a computer-aided design technology that provides us with extremely precise digital models of your teeth so we can create accurate, customized restorations that will guarantee optimum results!
