Dr. Watkins, affectionately known as Dr. Sheri to patients and staff, has been practicing in LaBelle since 1996. Dr. Sheri is a Fort Myers native growing up right down the road in East Fort Myers. Dr. Sheri began her dental career at the age of twelve, working with her father, Dr. Robert Watkins. She continued to gain experience as a dental assistant then as a Registered Dental Hygienist graduating in 1987. In 1988, she received her Bachelors in Science in Biology from Florida State University. Her final goal was to become a dentist; therefore, after working as a dental hygienist for a few years, she returned to dental school in 1990. Dr. Sheri received her Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the University Of Florida in 1994. She returned to Fort Myers to work as an associate in her fathers practice. Two years later, she was offered the opportunity to work locally in LaBelle part-time. She quickly realized LaBelle was where she wanted to call home for her practice. In 1996, she began her full-time practice in LaBelle. Dr. Sheri is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Southwest Florida Dental Association. Her goal is always to treat the patient as a whole, encompassing total treatment with consideration to not only their oral health but also their general health and finances. Dr. Sheris mission is to provide thorough dental treatment in a caring, compassionate environment.
Dr. Sheri has been married for twenty-three years to her wonderful husband, Billy McDaniel. They have three children, two in college and one in high school. In her spare time, she loves the great outdoors. Her hobbies include fishing, reading, swimming, and playing board games with her family. One of her favorite activities is crazy hikes with her family, even if that means they get lost! It is all about creating memories.
Most importantly, Dr. Sheri centers her life and practice around her relationship with Jesus Christ and is actively involved with her community. She loves her patients from Hendry, Lee, and Glades county!
Karen was born in Anderson, Indiana however she grew up in Southwest Florida. She graduated from Fort Myers High School in 1982. After Karens daughter left for college she decided to find a new career. She began working for Dr. Sheri in 2018 in patient care. Karen gained dental experience quickly and now functions as the office manager. She takes pride in working closely with patients advocating for them with their insurance companies and treatment needs. Karens hobbies include walking, reading, and she loves to travel.
Ashley is a LaBelle native graduating from LaBelle High School in 2001. She has been an expanded duty dental assistant for over eighteen years. Ashley started working for Dr. Sheri in January 2019. Not only does Ashley assist in the back, but she is also cross-trained to aid patients with treatment and insurance needs. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys hunting, fishing, along with trail riding with her husband and two children. They love the outdoors! Fun fact about Ashley, she loves to rescue animals even if it means bottle-feeding a cow!
Tricia is a LaBelle native graduating from LaBelle High School in 2001. She began working for Dr. Sheri as a dental assistant right after high school. Tricia decided to further her dental career as a dental hygienist graduating with her degree in dental hygiene from Tallahassee Community College in 2006. Tricia continued to substitute when needed for Dr. Sheri and, in 2017, returned full time to her office. Tricia prides herself on treating each patient with kindness and making sure their oral hygiene needs are met. Tricia has a spunky little boy, Lee, who, along with her husband she loves to spend time fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. Tricia is an essential part of patient care and is excited to work with all patients!
