For more than 40 years, patients throughout Southeastern Wisconsin have trusted Dr. Arbit to provide quality care for their orthodontic needs. He has successfully helped hundreds of patients achieve healthy, long-lasting, attractive smiles. During his many years of being an orthodontist, nothing has been more gratifying than seeing how happy and confident his patients are with the results of their treatments.
Dr. Arbit always knew he wanted to work in the dental field. As a young child, Dr. Arbit spent many hours watching his own father, Dr. Saul Arbit, practice dentistry. Throughout his teen years, Dr. Arbit had the opportunity to observe in his fathers dental lab, and eventually began creating various dental appliances for his fathers patients.
A Wisconsin native, Dr. Arbit graduated from Nicolet High School, and received a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin. While attending the university, Dr. Arbit worked as a student counselor on the faculty advising service as a photographer for the zoology department. He also taught skiing, sailing, and swimming.
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Arbit attended dental school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, Dr. Arbit tutored other dental students and was a member of the dentofacial anomalies team, with whom heworkedwith special needs children.
He also was involved in various TMJ research projects, and after graduating early from dental school, he was invited to participate in a hospital-based oral surgery externship. In addition, Dr. Arbitparticipated in several graduate courses, including sedation dentistry, electrosurgery, and TMJ, though orthodontics proved to be his true passion!
A lifelong learner, Dr. Arbit believes that education and the pursuit of excellence is a lifetimeendeavor, and he continues to train and study with top professionals in the field of dentistry and orthodontics. Dr. Arbits participation in continuing education also serves his patients well, becausehe is able to provide them with the most advanced care.
Dr. Arbit is a board-certified orthodontist and a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. Becoming board certified is optional, and it takes many years of rigorous training and research. Board certification is the American Association of Orthodontists highest level of achievement, and only a small percentage of orthodontists earnthis distinction. Dr. Arbit was recently inducted into the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Arbithas three exceptional children:Joshua, David, and Rachel. When he is not busy practicing or studying orthodontics, he enjoys hiking as well ascollecting and restoring old bicycles. Dr. Arbitloves to ski, andis a certified ski instructor;he has taught skiing at the Sunburst Ski Area for more than 20 years, and servedon the ski patrol for almost ten. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Dr. Arbit is involved as a leader in the dental community and his local community. He has served as the president of the Wisconsin Society of Orthodontists, the Wisconsin Society of Dentistry for Children, and the Alpha Omega Dental Group. In the community, Dr. Arbit has served on the board of the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin for more than ten years. The Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin has worked hard to make Wisconsin a better and safer place to ride a bike.

James has been part of our team since 2008, with more than 27 years of experience in the dental field. His favorite thing about working in orthodontics is the patients! He enjoys talking with each patient and getting to know them during their orthodontic treatment. He is grateful for all of the friendships he has made over the years. James also looks forward to the challenges of working in orthodontics, and enjoys accomplishing his goal of delivering great smiles.
James has ason, Joshua, and a daughter-in-law, Alma. He enjoys watching sports in his free time, including racing, bull riding, and local high-school events. James is also an avid tennis shoe collector!
Rolonda has been a clinical coordinator at Arbit Orthodontics since 2007. She loves working with our patientsand helping them achieve beautiful smiles. Rolonda was once an orthodontic patient herself, and thats what inspired her to work in the fieldas an adult. She regards everyone in our office coworkers and patients alike as family.
Susan is our scheduling coordinator and most likely the friendly, caring voice youll hear when you call our practice. She joined our practice in 2010and has been making our patients smile ever since. Susans favorite thing about working in orthodontics is seeing how proud our patients are when their braces come off. She enjoys being part of a team that is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
Susan and her husband Greg have been together for more than 35 years. They adore theirsonLucas, daughterAlysha, andson-in-law, Lars. She loves spending time with her family, especiallyher granddaughter Skylar and grandsonGunnar, and enjoysreading and snuggling with her dog Xander. Any other free time is dedicated to camping, hiking, fishing, and spending time with close friends.
Elizabeth earned her B.A. in Journalism, Advertising, and Media Studies, and came to our office with a background in office, retail, and healthcare management. Whether she is managing staff and office operations or handling financials and marketing for the practice, Elizabeth enjoys navigating different personalities and coaching her team to create a kind, welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Elizabeth and her partner Zach love hanging with family, friends, and their golden retriever Kobe and Labrador-pit mix Kate. Their free time is spent appreciating the best Milwaukee has to offer in food, culture, and history. They also love to travel, from weekend trips to Wisconsins Northwoods to visiting family and friends in Texas, San Diego, and Florida.
Asalah recently joined our office as a treatment coordinator, where she works in addition to studying dental hygiene at MATC. She greets and meets new patients and makes them feel as comfortable as possible at the office while going over treatment details and finances. She really enjoys seeing patients as they progress from the beginning of treatment to the end with their beautiful, new smiles!
Asalah has three younger siblings who she enjoys spending my time with, especially when theyre watching movies and playing video games together. She loves reading novels, specifically mystery novels, and photography to capture the beauty of nature.
Patrice attended Milwaukee Career College, graduating with honors. Before joining our team, she interned at Marion Family Dental, where she took advantage of the practices 40 years of experience in patient care. She is excited to join the orthodontic field, where she can help patients feel confident, happy, and secure about their smile.
