Dr. Hayley graduated Phi Beta Kappa from UC Berkeley with a degree in Integrative Biology. She graduated with honors as a member of OKU and student body president from the UCLA School of Dentistry where she received such awards as the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Dentistry Award, Public Health Dentistry Award and Delta Dental Student Leadership Award. Her passion for public health dentistry and working with children, particularly children from underserved communities, led her to complete two years of specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh, a hospital consistently ranked in the top ten of all U.S. Childrens Hospitals.
In her spare time, Dr. Hayley enjoys playing soccer, sunning on Butterfly Beach, and spending time with friends and family. In addition, Dr. Hayley loves traveling; she spent many of her childhood years studying abroad in Mexico, Argentina, and Costa Rica and is fluent in the Spanish language.
Hannah is our amazing patient care coordinator. She has grown up working in the dental field and follows in the footsteps of multiple generations of women in her family who have worked in dentistry. She truly finds joy in helping children achieve their healthiest smiles while providing an excellent patient experience with a compassionate approach. Hannah is a Carpinteria resident and Santa Barbara native. Growing up, she was always involved in the local community and continues to do the same today! Hannah is married and has two children that she adores and spends as much time with as possible. She is very proud of her skills as a homegrown chef and nurtures her creative side with dancing, painting, and writing. Hannah has a true passion for pediatric dentistry and finds the field to be the most rewarding and enjoyable job she could ever have!
Makala is our outstanding pediatric dental assistant and social media coordinator. She has always had a passion for pediatric dentistry and has countless years of experience working with children of all ages. Makala previously worked as a Soccer Coach and is a soccer superstar herself! She grew up in the Ojai Valley and spent her childhood involved in many sports and activities. Makala enjoys her time outside hiking, swimming, painting, and making delicious sweets as a self-taught baker.
Karen is one of our incredible pediatric dental assistants. Born in Mexico and raised in Santa Barbara, she is not only fluent in Spanish but also brings a wealth of knowledge to our practice with 6 years of dentistry experience. Her energy is contagious, and she loves providing a unique and individual experience for each patient that will leave them smiling! Karen is married and has a 2 year old son who keeps life fun and chaotic! She enjoys hikes, fitness, and spending quality time with her little family.
Lorena is one of our cherished pediatric dental assistants. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and helps translate to ensure every family feels heard and understood. Lorena loves helping make patients feel comfortable and putting a smile on their faces. Lorena previously worked in orthodontics prior to joining the Santa Barbara Childrens Dentistry team. Her vast knowledge shines through in everything she does! When she is not in the office taking care of patients, she is home with her new baby girl.
