Dr. Gregory R. Cannizzo graduated from the University of Illinois School of Dentistry in 1987 and has practiced general dentistry for 32 years in the McHenry area. Three years after starting his practice, he received advanced training in orthodontics and has helped correct the smiles of children, teens and adults for over 30 years. Dr. Cannizzo's experience also includes advanced training in ceramic restorations and veneers. While his gentle manner is appreciated by all his patients, he is especially experienced in working with children.
Dr. Cannizzo is a member as well as President of the prestigious G.P.Orthodontics. He is the co-editor of the Journal of the American Orthodontic Society and has published several articles in both American and Foreign journals. Dr. Cannizzo is also a member of The American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, Illinois State Dental Society, The McHenry County Dental Society, The Chicago Dental Society and The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Inderjit K. Bawa is a 1992 graduate of The State University of New York Dental School at Stony Brook, where she received her D.D.S. degree and completed a General Practice Residency Program at the Northport V.A. She has 27 years of experience in general dentistry and has worked in private practice as well as the Department of the Navy as a contracting dentist.
Dr. Bawa is also certified in the Differential Straight-Arch Orthodontic Technique taught through the Academy of GP Orthodontics and is working with orthodontic patients. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society and Illinois State Dental Society and enjoys learning new dental techniques and procedures. Dr. Bawa loves working with patients and being a member of the Ridgeview Dental Team.
Maura, our Business Manager has 29 years of experience in the dental field working with Dr. Cannizzo, and Ann our Insurance Coordinator has worked with Dr. Cannizzo 28 years. Their extensive knowledge and proficiency in insurance, billing, financial arrangements, and treatment coordination, ensures that the administrative aspect of your visit runs smoothly.
Our Hygienists pride themselves on educating our patients and becoming partners in maintaining their oral health. Having worked with Dr. Cannizzo for over 26 years, they share the same belief: that your care should be comprehensive and courteous.
Our technical team includes two dental assistants both fully trained to work in assisting with orthodontics, root canals, onlays, extractions, resin surface fillings and many other aspects of cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Jayna has been working with Dr. Cannizzo for 20 years and Fiona for 4 years at Ridgeview.
