For 31 years, Dr. Dennis Kaivo has been setting the highest standards for exceptional dental care. Highly educated, he graduated in 1980 with his dental degree from the University of Minnesota. To keep up-to-date on the latest techniques, technologies and advancements in dentistry, Dr. Kaivo maintains memberships in many professional organizations. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, Twin Cities Periodontal Study Club, Midwest Study Club, Bloomington Study Club and Biolase Study Club. In his personal life, Dr. Kaivo served in the Army Reserve for 22 years. He is now a retired major who enjoys traveling, photography, boating and sports.
Dr. Jennifer Hummel is a Minnesota native, having grown up in Minnetonka. She graduated with honors from Gustavus Adolphus College where she played hockey. She attended dental school at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where she graduated with distinction. After finishing school, Dr. Hummel worked for 3 years at a childrens clinic in Minneapolis, working with kids of low-income families. Her gentle and caring nature allows her to excel in providing children with positive dental experiences. Dr. Hummel joined Preserve Parkway Dental in 2009. She and Dr. Kaivo work very well together, as they practice very similarly. To stay current with the changing field of dentistry, Dr. Hummel belongs to many professional organizations and study clubs. When not in the office, Dr. Hummel enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids and dog, Nacho. She loves sculpting, skiing, and playing broomball and hockey.
