Smiles of Arcadia is a company of Premier Dental Esthetics. Smiles of Arcadia is founded by me, Dr. Peter S. Young and we are family owned and operated. We have been in business since 1998 in Arcadia and the surrounding cities creating healthy smiles to last for miles.
Dr. Peter S. Young, DDS, MADG, FIADFE, believes in developing a partnership with you in order to achieve optimal dental health long-term. Providing the highest quality comprehensive dental care in an ethical and conservative fashion is his number one priority. He also works closely with a team of well-qualified specialists in providing multi-disciplinary dental care.
He received the designation of MAGD, a Master from the Academy of General Dentistry. Less than 2% of dentists in American have this degree. The Mastership level requires a dentist to complete the Fellowship level and attend a total of 1100 hours of continue education with 400 hours being hands-on workshop in 16 different dental disciplines. In fact, Dr. Young has attended over 4000 hours of advanced dental continued education since 1988 and continues to attend over 100 hours a year, 4x the requirement by California. Dr. Young is also a Fellow of the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics and an Accredited Member of the American Society of Dental Aesthetics. This means Dr. Young has been recognized by his peers as a leader and an example to other dentists in the importance of continued learning for optimal patient care.
Dr. Young earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California. In 1988, he earned his Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University with Honors. Dr. Young is an Associate Fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute and a sustaining member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Other memberships include: American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Total Patient Service Institute (TOPS), San Gabriel Valley Dental Society, and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Young is a lifetime member and is certified by the United States Dental Institute in Orthodontics since 2002. He also holds membership in the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and is a Lifetime Quality member of the Crown Council. He is also a graduate, Mentor, and a Clinical Instructor, one of the most highly regarded training centers for advanced dentistry in the world. Dr. Young is a Preferred Provider for Clear Aligner.
Educating others is also one of Dr. Youngs passions. He has been an Assistant Professor since 1998 at the Division of General Dentistry School of Dentistry in Loma Linda University where he lectures on esthetics dentistry and practice management.
Dr. Young feels that continual learning is vitally important in keeping pace with the latest dental developments. In fact, he attends an average of 150 to 200 hours of advanced seminars annually. Since 1988 he has completed close to 4000 hours of continuing education seminars. These seminars include subjects such as implants, cosmetics and laser dentistry.
Since 1997, Dr. Young has been an active member in the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Chambers Board of Directors since 1998 to 2016. Proudly, in 2002 to 2003, he was elected President of the Chamber.
Dr. Young has also been in many countries on humanitarian missions. Countries such as China, Malaysia, Peru, the Dominican Republic, and Kenya. These trips only confirm his passion for giving back. Annually he also inspires and leads his office to reach out the underprivileged in Indio Cocheal Valley, California with CARE.
Stephanie Lee, DDS is a San Gabriel Valley native and born and raised in South Pasadena, CA. She graduated from Columbia University with a B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of California Los Angeles. After graduation, Dr. Lee completed a rigorous one year residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at South Texas Veterans Health Care System. At the VA San Antonio, she received advanced training in surgery, implants, cosmetic dentistry, Clear Aligner, conscious sedation and full mouth rehabilitation. Dr. Lee is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the San Gabriel Valley Dental Association.
Dr. Lee believes in providing exceptional dental care and treating patients with respect, compassion and honesty. Her goal is to educate patients to desire to care for their oral health and build lifelong patient care relationships.
Dr. Lee enjoys giving her time to Camp del Corazon, an organization that provides summer camp for children with heart disease free of charge and volunteered as a camp counselor every year from 2005-2011. She enjoys running, swimming and eating her way around Los Angeles.
Dr. Clifford Young is committed to providing exceptional dentistry with excellent service. He believes in constant continual learning as well as developing a personal relationship with his patients. Dr. Cliff was raise in the the San Gabriel Valley. He obtained his B.S in Health Communication from Pacific Union College in Angwin California, and then continued his education at Loma Linda University where he received his Doctoral of Dental Surgery. He believes that dentistry is a career of service. His commitment has brought him on dental trips to places like the Dominican Republic, Peru, and Fiji. After graduation, Dr.Cliff served one year abroad as a missionary dentist on the island of Saipan. He remains driven to use his talents and commitment to altruism as the driving force in his future career and life.
Dr. Cliff is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and on the fellowship track for the Academy of General dentistry. He has his certificate in Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) and is a also an Certified Clear Aligner Provider. Continue education is one of his passions with courses at the Kois Center for post graduate advance training and a member of the Spears Study Club.
