Dr. Bishop is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. He lived for 2 years in Chile where he learned to speak Spanish. He attended Dental School at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. While there, he and Whitney fell in love with the midwest.
When Dr. Bishop isnt in the office, hes with his three young children. You might see him around town with them biking, eating ice cream, and playing at the park. When he isnt with his kids, Dr. Bishop is in his workshop. He loves woodworking and is often working on a project for his wife to make her Pinterest dreams come true.
He wanted to be an artist (ceramics is his jam). But when a mentor told him that dentistry was the perfect mix between science and art, he was hooked. Dr. Bishop pays attention to the little details, prioritizes comfort and patient experience, and loves keeping up with the advancements that the dental field has to offer. Dentistry has become a passion for him, and he is grateful to serve the community.

To ensure he offers quality care, Dr. Bishop is a member of the Academy of General Dentists and the Kansas Dental Association, and he frequently attends continuing education classes.Dr. Bishop loves his patients, loves a good challenge, and loves technology. The thing he loves the most though, is helping people live better, healthier, and more confident lives.
Dr. Cozzens is originally from Ogden, Utah. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Weber State University and attended the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Cozzens practices general/family dentistry including restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He has continued his education with an Invisalign certification and a commitment to continued education to provide the best and most up-to-date care.
Since that time they have added three dogs to their still growing family (Cosmo, Finn, and Newt). The Cozzens are proud to call Ulysses their new home. His hobbies include spending time with his family, fixing things around the house, singing, board games, skiing, and learning new things.
As a part of his commitment to serve the community, Dr. Cozzens took part in the Healthy Smiles Sealant Program in Cleveland Ohio where he went to public schools and provided education and free treatment to underserved populations of elementary school children in the Cleveland area.
Marisol is a friendly face you've likely seen at the office because she has been a valuable member of our team for 8 years. We are so grateful to have her as our Office Manager. Marisol enjoys traveling with her family and spending time at the lake. She is married to her supportive husband Jeremy together they have 4 beautiful children! She is a caring and loving mother and loves her job, and is passionate about getting the job done safely and properly.
Alejandra has been with our office for 2 years. If you have treatment that needs to be completed she will help arrange the how and when! She will help keep your treatment on track so we can complete everything in a timely fashion! She has an Associates in Business and is bilingual. Alejandra grew up in Washington but moved to Kansas during high school. She has a baby boy about three months old who she adores. She loves to travel to see new places and try new things as well.
Beth has been with the practice since 2011 and has worn many hats. She currently helps manage our patients' insurances. We are so grateful for her expertise and trust me- you will be too! Beth married her husband Carson in 2000. They have two daughters, Dallie & Areena and surprise baby boy, Ketch who is now almost 5. As a family, they enjoy most anything that is outdoors, including camping, fishing, hunting, roping, and riding.
She graduated from Satanta, KS in 2011 and has been married to her husband Junior since 2015. She enjoys camping, fishing, watercolor painting, DIY projects, spending time with her puppy Sparky, and of course, family!
Juana has been at Prairie Vista Dental since 2018. She has is a woman of many talents and you'll often find her assisting one of the doctors, helping a hygienist, or as a your advocate with insurance companies. She enjoys the helping patients. She is bilingual which is something we are really glad we can offer our patients. She loves spending time with her 3 year old son and dancing.
Tanya started off job shadowing at Prairie Vista Dental in 2018 and soon after officially joined our team. She really enjoys her time with the patients. She is also bilingual. We admire her kindness and professionalism with the patients and her team player attitude. She loves spending time with her 2 year old son, Emiliano.
Rosamaria has been here at Prairie Vista Dental for over a year. Her favorite part of dentistry is patient care, meeting new people, and making a positive impact on patients lives. You'll often find her assisting one of our doctors. Her sweet demeanor will put you at ease. She was born in Dumas, Texas and raised in Ulysses. She graduated from Ulysses High in 2019. She enjoys hanging out with her family and friends.
Natalie was raised here in Ulysses and has been at Prairie Vista Dental for 6 years. Her experience is invaluable and we are lucky to have her on our team! She currently works between semesters of school because she is working her tail off to become a hygienist. We are so proud of her and all that she has accomplished! She enjoys time with her family, traveling, and hanging out with her dachshund Frank.
Esmeralda was born in Liberal, KS and grew up in Colorado. She moved to Ulysses and graduated Ulysses High in 2019. Something you might not know about Esmeralda is she is a licensed Cosmetologist. She is an amazing asset to team because she has an eye for esthetics, is a hard worker, and her kind and genuine nature puts out patients at ease! You will see her assisting a doctor, helping in the hygiene department or working in our back office to keep everything running smoothly.
Laramie Smith is a Registered Dental Hygienist here at Prairie Vista Dental. She graduated from Amarillo College in 2019. She is kind, gentle, and thorough and we are grateful for the quality care the offers our patients. Laramie was raised in Manter, Kansas. She has 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and 13 nieces and nephews. She and her husband Dreydon have been married for 2 years and live in Walsh. Some of the things that she enjoys are spending time with her family, playing sports, and snow skiing.
Aisha is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been here at Prairie Vista Dental for two years. She graduated from Garden City Community College with an Associates of Science and went on to get her Associates in Dental Hygiene in May of 2019 from Colby Community College. Aisha is very knowledgable and stays up to date with the latest research. She prides herself in offering her patients quality, gentle care. She likes to spend her free time with family and also enjoys being outdoors.
Whitney is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah and attended the Utah Valley University Dental Hygiene Program and has been practicing since 2014. She and Dr. Bishop are high school sweethearts and have been married for 8 years. Their three kids take up most of her time, but she loves dental hygiene and her patients too much to stay away. In her free time she loves running, painting, and camping.
