Dr Johnson lived in 8 states by the time he was 8 but moved to Arvada with his family when he was 10 and always knew he wanted to stay here, near the mountains and beauty of Colorado. He attended Arvada West High School when big hair bands were cool! He attended Brigham Young University, where he obtained a degree in Zoology with an emphasis in human biology. He then attended dental school at the University of Colorado and completed his residency in Periodontics at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. He served a 2-year mission in northern Chile and is fluent in Spanish. He has been practicing in Fort Collins for over 15 years and is very grateful to live and work in such a great city.
Dr Johnson and his wife, Valerie met on a blind date and have been married for over 20 years. They have three daughters and 1 son who they enjoy making memories, seeing new things, and traveling with. Dr. Johnson loves almost all sports, thrives when he is helping people, and gets sucked into reading whenever he can. His favorite part of his job is getting to know his patients well, hearing their stories, and helping them with their periodontal needs.
Casey is one of our surgical assistants. She has worked in the dental field since 2006 and has been with Dr Johnson since 2013. She has a warm smile that makes patients feel at ease and comfortable in the dental chair. Casey grew up in California and Texas but considers Colorado home. She loves her family, including her 2 four-legged children, and any dog for that matter. When she is not working you can find her at country music concerts, outdoor festivals, snowboarding or doing anything water related.
Kendall started working with us in June 2020 as our patient coordinator. She is a native to beautiful Colorado. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2019. At a young age she grew to admire the dental field and always wanted to do something involving dentistry. Her family and friends are very dear to her. When she is not at the front desk, she enjoys spending time with her husband Kylar, their dog Minnie & their families. She also enjoys doing anything active, listening to her favorite podcasts and trying new restaurants.
