Founded in 1981 by Dr. Samuel LaValley, Polzin & LaValley Family Dentistry offers complete dental care to families from Menominee, MI, and surrounding communities. From the beginning, our practice has nurtured a reputation for kind, patient-focused services. We are passionate about helping our patients achieve their best oral health and partner with them to bring their dream smiles to life.

Throughout the years, we have worked hard to create an environment where patients from three to 103 years old feel comfortable and cared for. Our practice is newly remodeled to incorporate the latest technology and treatments, including dental implants and laser dentistry. Dr. Andrea Polzin grew up in the twin cities of Marinette and Menominee. After graduating from Marinette High School, she earned an Associates degree from UW-Marinette. From there, she went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2003, she began her journey at the Marquette University School of Dentistry and graduated in 2007.
Following graduation, Dr. Polzin returned to Menominee to work for her mentor, Dr. Samuel LaValley. She purchased the dental practice from Dr. LaValley in 2009 and has been enjoying the challenge of owning her own business ever since. She and her dental team are very proud to have been voted the best dental office by our local peoples choice award time and time again.
Being a mother of three young boys, Dr. Polzin especially enjoys working with children. She has also taken multiple continuing education courses in implant placementand is very proud to have been able to add this service to her patients.
In her free time, Dr. Polzin enjoys spending time with her husband, Bryan and their three boys. She enjoys traveling, camping and going to Packer games. She spends most of her free time watching her boys participate in multiple sports including baseball, basketball, hockey and football.
Dr. Samuel LaValley was born and raised in Menominee, MI. After graduating from Marinette Catholic Central High School, he attended Michigan Tech University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology in 1974. He then obtained his D.D.S. degree from The University of Michigan Dental School in 1978. To gain additional experience, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served as a lieutenant in the Dental Corp for three years.
Dr. LaValley returned to Menominee in 1981 where he opened a private dental practice. He and his wife Judy raised their children here. He is currently working part-time for Dr. Andrea Polzin, who purchased his practice in 2009. From senior patients to young children, he strives to provide each patient with an exceptional dental experience.
Continuing dental education has always been, and will remain an integral part of his practice. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. LaValley holds a current dental license in Michigan, Wisconsin, and California.
