She attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where she served on the honor board of the dental school and was chosen to siton the governing board of her class. There she obtained her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistryin 2000.
She continued her education at the University of Connecticut and completed a three-year residency with a specialtyin orthodontics in 2003. During this time, she also earned a masters in dental scienceby studying the effects of growth factors on bone cell activity and subsequenttooth movement.
Dr. Khan opened her practice with thegoal of providing the most personalized and comprehensive orthodontic care for her patients. She assesses each individual meticulously and is known for her unique, artistic approach in evaluating her patients. This has enabled her to determine the proper treatment modalities that will result in both a beautiful finished smile and enhanced facial aesthetics.
By utilizing state-of-the-art technology and the most current advances in orthodontics, she is able to treat patients in a shorter timeand, in many instances, avoid extractions in cases of a highly crowded jaw. Dr. Khan strives to exceed the expectations of her patients and ensure optimal treatment results.
She is passionate about continuing education and is a participant in many study groups. Regular attendance atconferences has enabled her to employthe most up-to-date methods in her practice. She is currently a member of the following professional organizations:
Dr. Khan resides in Fairfield with her daughters, Rania and Samar. In her spare time, she enjoys running, biking, kayaking, and paddle boarding, although her favorite pastime is traveling and discovering new places with her two daughters.Raised in West Virginia, she is a loyal WVU football fan and will always have a place in her heart for the Mountaineers!!
