Dr. Peter Lee and his wife, Dr. Dorothy Pang, founded this joint specialty practice in 1996. Our team has since expanded to include additional pediatric dentists, orthodontists, registered dental hygienists and assistants, and front office staff. All of our doctors are highly trained specialists who have received at least three years of additional education beyond dental school. Dr. Lee studied in England, Texas, and North Carolina before entering private practice here in San Francisco. He also teaches part-time at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Lee and Dr. Pang live in San Francisco with their two children, and enjoy going to the movies, reading and cooking together as a family. They also love visiting friends and family in Malaysia, Hong Kong and England.
After over 20 years of practicing here in San Francisco, Dr. Lee and Dr. Pang are happier than ever to be part of this vibrant community. They look forward to many more years of serving patients and watching their smiles grow.
Peter Lee, DDS, MS- Board Certified Orthodontist Dr. Lee is a well-rounded orthodontist whose professional interests extend beyond orthodontics to include other dental specialty topics: crowns and bridges, aesthetics, implants, periodontics, jaw surgery and growth and guidance in children. In 2020, Dr. Lee completed board-certification, also known as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, has been voluntarily examined by his or her peers on the basis of knowledge and clinical skills. He is well-versed in dental literature, gives lectures periodically, attends continuing education courses regularly, and is knowledgeable about the state-of-the-art orthodontic and dental specialty techniques. Routinely, he applies these techniques to enhance the efficiency and quality of his treatment. Dr. Lee shares his practice with his wife Dr. Dorothy Pang, who is a pediatric dentist in San Francisco.A native of Malaysia, Dr. Lee grew up in the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur. He finished high school and college in England. Dr. Lee initially obtained his dental degrees from Kings College London and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Our orthodontist then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and the Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Lee is a clinical professor and teaches part-time in the graduate program of orthodontics at the University of California, San Francisco.In addition to loving his practice and teaching orthodontics, Dr. Lee has many hobbies. He loves movies, music, reading, traveling and plays a keen game of badminton. He is also an accomplished chef who can cook pasta dishes and a rack of lamb to rival many Italian restaurants. But his true claim to fame among his friends and family are the Malaysian curry, satay and the Hainanese chicken rice!
