By sheer luck, some time ago I chose Dr. Kim, because of proximity, from a list of providers who contracted with my then dental insurance. My mouth was a hodgepodge of restoration attempts, some successful, some not so. Dr. Kim immediately fixed some long-unsolved problems and offered recommendations for other work. I dropped the services of the oral surgeon I was seeing, since Dr. Kim was soon solving some very delicate and complicated problems, start to finish, doing all the oral surgery as well as the restorations. He is not only eminently technically proficient, he is also quite the artist.
I have had some very difficult dental issues that Dr. Kim was able to overcome with imaginative, progressive solutions including, most recently, restoring dentition where Id had an empty space for several decadesa difficult task in any case. Four attempts by an oral surgeon at bone grafting in the area had failed, leaving dead bone. Using my own growth factor, Dr. Kim performed a graft there that generated new bone sufficient to hold the implants needed, resulting in a beautiful and successful restoration. After more than forty years, I finally have a full set of bottom teeth! And thats only the latest of many incredibly tough situations that Dr. Kim was able to fix for me.
A few years ago, Dr. Kim built and moved to a state-of-the-art facility in Wheeling. The office is now a bit of a drive for me, but I wouldnt see anyone else. If you have issues beyond a few fillings or crowns, youll want to go see Dr. Kim. The practice is very active in ongoing professional education and Dr. Kim stays on top of the latest technology. He and his office staff, all of whom have been with him for as long as Ive gone there, are top-flight professionals. Fran B.
Dr. Kim knows his stuff. Ive seen a number of patients come to him after a sub-par experience with another dentist. I recommend this place. I never write reviews But when the practice asked me to write a view review for Dr. Kim I was more than happy to share my comments. I am Dr. Kims Dental rep, I sell most of the products that he uses in the office the last 20 years or so. He is not a general dentist, he is a prosthodontist, meaning he handles the very complicated cases and teaches implant dentistry. For every 100 general dentists, theres probably one prosthodontist. Of course, he could handle the small simple procedures too.
His office is very clean and updates it with the newest technology. He is also very prompt with his schedule, I never see patients waiting in the waiting room. He seems to have a great relationship with his existing patients. Hes also a great guy and hes not cheap on ordering the best products for his patients. Jim K.
