Dr. Werner was born at Pullman Memorial Hospital to local teacher Vivian Werner and county employee Mike Werner. Like his mother, who taught special needs and first grade, and his father who had involvement in the care and development of Whitman and Latah County, with such projects as the Bill Chipman trail, Dr. Werner is excited to be a part of thecommunity he grew up in.
Raisedon the Palouse, Dr. Werner was active as a child in Boy Scouts, sports, academia and the outdoors. In middle school and high school Dr. Werner was also highly involved with Future Problem Solvers of America. Acheivingregional awards, his team won at the StateFinals and was honored to competeat the International Conference.Dr. Werner attended WSU for his undergraduate education where he received the senior student award in Zoology and was the top candidate for medical and dental school. Since fifth grade, dentistry was alwaysDr. Werners passion, and thenext step was the University of Washington School of Dentistry. At the University of Washington, Dr. Werner graduated in the top ten students in his class, received the Senior Student award for the graduate that displayed the most promise in general dentistry, and was the only student to graduate in all three honors courses offered at the time: implants, endodontics, and removable prosthodontics.
After dental school Dr. Werner was selected by a member of faculty to practice under her tutelage for three years. Dr. Werner then established his own practice in Cle Elum, WA and cultivated it for nearly six years.A wonderful wife, Jill, and two beautiful daughters brought Dr. Werner full circle back to the wonderful community in which he was raised.
Jill was born in Gig Harbor, WA and graduated from the University of Washington with an English Degree. Following college, she worked for two years at an Endodontic office where she realized her interest in oral health and pursued a dental hygiene license. She graduated from Shoreline Community College. Her passion lies in whole-body health and preventive care. You can find her running, reading, fly-fishing and camping with friends and family when she is not at the office.
Travis wasraised in Potlatch, ID. He graduated dental hygiene school at LCSC in Lewiston, ID. His favorite part of dentistry is meeting new people and encouraging them to keep up with home care and floss! When he is notat Natures WayDentistry he enjoys fishing, camping,snowshoeing, and spending time with his lovable Husky, Glacier.
