Dr. Petes interest in dentistry began years ago as a child when he would spend his summer vacation helping his dad in the dental lab. Today, Dr. Pete enjoys creating healthy, beautiful smiles in the Jackson community.
Dr. Pete and his wife, Nancy, have three children, Jay, Rachel, and Thomas. All three are now married and have followed in their parents footsteps by pursuing careers in the healthcare profession. They love spending time with their grand-children Louise, Archie, and Dannie. They are excited to welcome two new additions very soon!
Staying healthy and active is important to Dr. Pete. In high school and college, he ran track and cross-country. Dr. Pete still enjoys running and working out at the gym. More recently, he has become an active member of Crossfit Jackson.
Local and foreign missions are close to Dr. Petes heart. He partners Nathan Young of Jacksons Care Center, providing dental service at no charge to the ladies served by this ministry. He has participated in a number of medical/dental mission trips to Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Haiti, serving the dental needs of peoples in remote regions and sharing his love of Christ.

When choosing a career path, Dr. John took an nontraditional route to dentistry. He began his professional path in mechanical engineering. He loved engineering, but found that as his career progressed and he took on management roles, administrative work replaced the hands-on aspect of engineering that he enjoyed so much. It didnt take long for him to realize that combining his engineering background with dentistry would give him what he was looking for.We are proud to say that Dr. John is an officer in the Army National Guard. His military career started shortly after the terrorist attacks of 9-11. He served in Iraq in 2005 and Afghanistan in 2013. He currently holds the rank of Colonel.
Dr. John and his wife, Tricia, have daughters. Alexandra and Amelia. They are excited for the upcoming arrival of their first grandaughter! Dr. John enjoys spending his spare time working on his family farm. He enjoys planting and harvesting from the garden and caring for the menagerie of animals. The office staff members love receiving fresh eggs from the McLemore farm!
