I am in the business of growing people: my patients, my team, and myself. I just happen to straighten crooked teeth and make beautiful smiles along the way! Working with my patients and my team every day inspires me to improve myself, to be happier and healthier with each new day, and to age gracefully. I hope to inspire the same in others.
I love working with patients of all ages and backgrounds. Each patient brings a unique set of personality traits, and I enjoy learning who they are as individuals. The conversations we have, and the laughter we share, make my days a joy.
An orthodontist is never done with learning. Continuing education keeps me immersed in the ever-changing field of orthodontics. This ensures my patients are receiving the best care that clinical experience, current trends and research, and modern technology have to offer. Throughout the year I participate in lectures, workshops, clinical exercises, and giving presentations and lectures to my colleagues.
I grew up in Brigham City, Utah, at the feet of the majestic Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains western slope. I spent my summers working in the fields of my fathers wheat farm in Northern Utah and Southern Idaho, and spent my winters skiing the champagne powder of many local ski resorts. For the past 16 years Ive lived on the outskirts of Auburn, on a small mandarin farm. You can take the boy off the farm, but you cant take the farm off the boy!
Dr. Luminita Markham is my wife, my family, and my hero. She is also a dentist, so we share the same interests and passions. We enjoy spending time together at home, at work, in continuing education, recreating, and traveling the world.
When Im not working or studying, I tend to spend my time outdoors, being active. I enjoy working in the yard, swimming, and working out at the gym. My wife and I enjoy hiking, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, along with rock and mountain climbing. Weve summitted Mt. Whitney, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Rainer, Mt. Kilimanjaro and we trekked in the Himalayas. My last adventure was summiting Mount Matterhorn in Switzerland in august 2019 with my wife, Luminita.

I love seeing our patients smile. Watching each persons excitement to start their orthodontic journey and then witnessing that excitement grow as they near completion, is incredible. Of course, the wonderful smiles at the end are best of all.
I supervise the office team and overall workflow by improving office procedures and boosting employee and patient engagement. I started at Markham Orthodontics in 2021, and I enjoy seeing people be happy at their jobs. I love impacting the patients smiles through keeping the employees happy.
I have been working closely with patients to help them get the dental care they need for four years. The most fulfilling part of my job is seeing patients gain confidence after their treatment is complete!
My role as the Treatment Coordinator is to listen to the patients main concerns, offer different braces options, and make personalized financial plans for each patient. My favorite thing about working at Markham Orthodontics is the staff loves what they do and who they do it forthe patients.
The best part of my job is being able to help patients as best as I can; and although I just started this year at Markham Orthodontics, the team and Dr. Markham welcomed me with warm and open arms. I cannot wait for more to come.
Some things I like to do are taking small vacations when I can be with friends and family. I also enjoy sleeping in as much as I can. I love playing with makeup and once thought about pursuing a cosmetic (make-up artist) career.
As a Registered Dental Assistant and Orthodontic Assistant, my job is to provide orthodontic care through laboratory procedures, clerical work, and treatment procedures. I began working in the dental field in 1996, and I have been working with Dr. Markham since 2002.
Dr. Markham and his team have created an open and safe environment for both the patients and the team. It makes coming to work every day so easy! But, the best part of my job by far is seeing patients achieve their new smiles.
My job as an Orthodontic Assistant is to walk with patients through every step of their orthodontic journey. I love watching our patients gain the beautiful smiles they have always dreamed of. Its so rewarding to see someone who was once insecure about their teeth now want to show them off! Being a part of that process is the best part of my job.
I began working as a registered dental assistant in 2017. What I love about our office is that every team member works together to create a pleasant atmosphere for ourselves and our patients. As a part of this incredible team, I am constantly learning new techniques and improving my skills.
When Im not working, I love spending time with my four boys,: my husband (Dean), my son (Pablo) and my two dogs (Chapo, and Bluey). We all go on bike rides on trails, on road trips to the beach and car show cruises with our Classic cars.
