I took my family here mid morning on August 26th for a series of check-ups. My parents have been in the medical and dental fields for decades, so I feel uniquely qualified to point out a few special details about Dr Ortegas practice and his staff. The front office is easily the best run medical/dental office I have found in San Diego. The waiting room is small, but highly efficient and the lady working there did an incredible job explaining everything (including treatment billing and insurance matters) clearly to my wife and me, while also creating a calm atmosphere for my children, who were a little nervous about their first trip to the dentist. The hygienist did a fantastic job working with my young children and Im honestly shocked at how well she was able to keep them still and relaxed for as long as they did. Dr. Ortega was the perfect balance of kind and direct. We were running quite late because of our own errors, but at no point did I feel like we were being rushed. The exams were thorough enough to create a well-thought-out treatment plan which Dr. Ortega clearly explained the various prioritized courses of action. The whole staff was knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend this dental practice.
