Here at Malbis Parkway Pediatric Dentistry, we are proud to specialize in pediatric dentistry. We truly believe in starting children off right when it comes to their dental health. It is our goal to ensure that each visit goes well so that they think of the dentists office as a good place. Our entire staff is wonderful with children, allowing them to relax while we care for their teeth.
Our dentists and staff have received extra training for primary teeth. Our goal is to protect your childrens teeth so they can eat and speak correctly. We will do whatever we can to help your children have the bright smiles they deserve.
I grew up in Natchez, Mississippi. I attended Mississippi State University for my undergraduate studies and received my dental degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry. Following dental school, I completed a two-year residency program in pediatric dentistry at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center and then worked there on staff for four years. I am a board-certified pediatric dentist.
My family and I moved to Birmingham, Alabama in 2005, where I practiced for eight years. I now reside in Pensacola, Florida with my husband Colby and our four children, Laurel, Hayes, Witt, and Morgan.
Pediatric Dentistry gives me the unique opportunity to instill positive dental experiences from a young age. I love working with children and showing them that going to the dentist is not scary and can be fun! I grew up in Mandeville, LA and attended Louisiana State University for my undergraduate degree. It was during college that I discovered my love for pediatric dentistry while working as a dental assistant at a local pediatric dentist office. After college, I attended LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, where my passion for working with children only grew stronger.
I completed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL where I served as chief resident during my second year. I received training in anesthesia, treatment of medically and physically compromised patients, orthodontics, and the growth and development of children.
Following residency, I worked in private practice in Baton Rouge, LA for over two years before making the decision to move to this area to be close to family. I am so excited to join the Malbis Parkway Pediatric Dentistry family!
I am a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, as well as the American Dental Association and the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Being a pediatric dentist is truly a blessing to me. I feel honored that I get to work with children and be a part of the families that come to see us. It is amazing to have the opportunity to be able to influence, lead, and care for these children. More than anything, they have affected me and changed my life.
I love working with children and believe it is important to help foster a positive experience so that they will not be fearful. It is very rewarding to help a child who is nervous and see them leave with a smile and look forward to coming back.
I grew up just across the Alabama line in Pascagoula, Mississippi. I attended Mississippi State University for my undergraduate degree, and then was accepted to the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. I received my Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry from the Medical University of South Carolina.
I believe in the importance of staying up to date on the latest techniques and products in order to provide my patients with the best care possible. I volunteer with and attend continuing education through my memberships with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, through which I am board certified, as well as the American Dental Association and the Alabama Dental Association.
I am passionate about being involved in the community and helping others. I am strong in my faith and love being involved in our church. We support many charitable organizations and are involved in events with St. Jude, The Womens Medical Center, and Prodisee Pantry, as well as the local schools.
