Originally, I am from Fridley, Minnesota. My husband and Idecided to move out to the western suburbs to be closer to his hometown ofMedina. I am happy to provide careto a loving smaller community.Building relationships with my patients is very important to me and Ihope you can feel at home at my office.
I graduated from the University of Minnesota, School ofDentistry in 2008, with an award in Implant Dentistry. I received mybachelors degree in biology and coaching minor from Gustavus Adolphus Collegein 2004. In 2016 the Minnesota Dental Association presented me with theNew Dentist Leadership Award for my commitment to the field of dentistry including all my volunteer efforts.
Sincecompleting dental school, I have both private practice and public healthexperience. I am comfortable treating patients of all ages! My path in general dentistry includes working for a children's clinic for 5 years, so I feel comfortable starting with your family right from the first tooth erupting! My advancedcoursework includes courses inoral surgery (removal of teeth), aesthetic procedures (veneers), root canals, and a mini-residency in pediatrics. Continuing my education has provided me the ability to provide the bestcare for my patients and I always look forward to keeping up to date on thelatest concepts in dentistry.
I am a member of the American Dental Association, MinnesotaDental Association, and American Academy of Pediatric Dentists. I participate annually in the Give Kids a Smile Event the first Friday in February were we provide care for those without insurance. I have served on the Board of Visitors for the University of Minnesota Dental School, both a Delegate and on the Executive Council fortheMinneapolis District Dental Society for the Minnesota Dental Association. I am a co-lead for central supplies for the Minnesota Mission of Mercy Events 2012-2015 and present
Aside fromdentistry, I have lived in Independence, MN since 2009 with my husbandEdwin (Ed), my three sons, Morse (April 2010), Vernon (February 2013) and Henry (April 2018) and my daughterAvery (July 2014). I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, knitting, cooking, water skiing, practicing my faith, coaching soccer (OWSC) and volunteering with my children's schools. I lookforward to meeting all of you!
