We specialize in helping kids, teens, and adults achieve a straight and beautiful smile through traditional or ceramic braces, as well as Invisalign treatment. If you would simply like to discuss your own orthodontics needs with Dr. Knecht in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact us today.

At Knecht Orthodontics, you will find a fun and relaxed office that was designed with you in mind. One of the most important qualities of Knecht Orthodontics - and the thing that makes it such a unique environment - is that Dr. Knecht herself is the ONLY orthodontist on staff. This is a decision that was made very deliberately since she will be the only orthodontist that you will receive treatment with.

Whenever it comes to choosing a care provider, you need to find someone with values and ideals that align with your own. Most importantly, you need to seek out a care provider whom you trust. This, more than anything, is Dr. Knechts goal with Knecht Orthodontics.

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dr. Kristen Knecht attended Louisiana State University as a part of her undergraduate education and received her BS in Biology. She then went onto dental school in New Orleans.

Even from a very early age, Dr. Knecht knew she wanted to get into the medical field - she just wasn't always sure how. A large part of this likely has to do with the fact that her mother was a nurse, something that instilled a value for quality healthcare in her almost immediately.

By creating a sense of family among the employees at Knecht Orthodontics, Dr. Knecht hopes to bring every patient into that family as well. That's ultimately what she sees as one of the most important goals of all and it's one that she pledges to never stop working towards.

It doesn't matter who you are, what your background is or what orthodontic issues you're trying to take care of. You'll receive the same level of commitment that we'd show our own family members because, in many ways, that's exactly what you are.

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dr. Kristen Knecht attended Louisiana State University where she received a BS in Biology. She immediately attended the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans where she graduated 2nd in her class. Dr. Knecht is a member of numerous professional societies for outstanding academic and clinical performance including the C. Edmund Kells Honorary Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society.

Before pursuing her DDS degree, Dr. Knecht knew she wanted to specialize, and began spending time in a local orthodontists office. She quickly realized that this specialty was a perfect fit for her and her personality. She is a perfectionist who loves attention-to-detail, and she was seeking a professional fit that would allow her disposition to impact peoples lives in a profound and positive way.

Subsequently, Dr. Knecht earned her post doctoral specialty degree in Orthodontics from the University of Connecticut in Farmington, Connecticut. UConn is considered to be one of the most prestigious programs in the world with both past and present faculty who have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field of Orthodontics. During her three-year residency program, she obtained a Master of Dental Science degree and was privileged to study under pioneers in her field including Dr. Charles Burstone and Dr. Ravindra Nanda.

Three years ago, Dr. Knecht decided she wanted to move back South and be closer to family and friends which brought her to the Houston, Texas area. While working corporate orthodontics in surrounding areas, she decided to open her own practice in Mont Belvieu, Texas. One of the things she loved most about the area was that it had a small town feel that reminded her of home, but still had everything else she was looking for in a place to live and practice.

She also recognized this unique location would present opportunities that would allow her to become actively involved in supporting the local community. This quality was a priority for her in more ways than one since she values supporting community initiatives and activities.

Dr. Knecht has an engaging and enthusiastic personality, as well as an unsurpassed passion for her profession. As such, her primary goal is to be attentive to the concerns of every patient and develop an individual, evidence-based treatment plan to address those needs in the most efficient way possible. She strongly believes that orthodontics is not just about straightening someones teeth, but improving peoples lives and the way they feel about themselves.'

In her spare time, Dr. Knecht enjoys exercising, taking her dog to the park, and traveling when time allows. Of course, she also values spending quality time with friends and family and considers her many satisfied patients among them.

Choosing an orthodontist to start your smile transformation with is a big decision to make. The types of problems that people come to an orthodontist to fix typically can't be addressed overnight. Sometimes you're treating someone over a period of several months, which can ultimately become a relationship that leads to decades of quality care.

You can't get to that point unless a certain level of trust is created between the patients and the team members they have dedicated themselves to serving. Part of that comes down to your outward-facing efforts, yes - but a lot of that begins internally with the people an orthodontist surrounds themselves with, too.
