In 1983 Dr. Kerper established his practice in Oxnard with one of his dental school classmates, Dr. Brad Kane. For nearly 40 years, Dr. Kerper has devoted himself to delivering state-of-the-art care. Since graduating from Dental School, Dr. Kerper has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education courses on topics ranging from porcelain veneer and other cosmetic treatments to occlusion and bite-related diseases. Dr. Kerper is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and for many years been involved with the Seattle Study Club and the Spear Study Club.
It is truly amazing what we as dental professionals can do for our patients today. It is my responsibility to stay current with the latest technology. I believe that only by educating our patients about what is possible, can they make informed decisions about their health. Patients have so many choices today when it comes to dentistry, it is my role to help them understand their choices, then work together to improve their health and appearance comfortably and affordably.
Dr. Kane has spent his entire 37 year professional career in partnership with Dr. Kerper here in beautiful Ventura County. He is a proud member of the American Dental Society, the California Dental Society, and the Santa Barbara-Ventura County Dental Society. Dr. Kane served our community as a 17 year member of the executive board of the SBVC Dental Society, culminating in serving as President in 2007. Dr. Kane continued to serve our dental community through his work with both the SBVC Dental Foundation, and on several committees associated with the CDA and its Foundation. He continues with that commitment to community volunteerism to this day.
Of course, Dr. Kane is committed to delivering excellent and comfortable dentistry for his patients. He continues his dedication to keeping up with all the current trends and advancements in the field of Dentistry. Dr. Kane takes countless hours of continuing education courses and is a member of the Spear and Seattle Study Club organizations.
Dr. Kane has been married to his lovely wife, Ania, for over 37 years. They have two children together. His daughter, Barbara, has followed her father into the Dental Profession having graduated from Nova Southeastern School of Dentistry, and he is so proud to work alongside both her and Dr. Kerper. Their son, Mark, is currently enrolled in his second year at the UCSF School of Dentistry. Looks like another generation of the Kane family will enter this amazing profession in the next few years.
When not in the office, Dr. Kane can be found on the golf course, involved in automobile restoration, skiing, or home remodel renovation. Barbara and her husband recently made Dr. Kane and Ania grandparents for the first time. Now babysitting for their granddaughter must be happily included in their list of current activities.
