It is my greatest honor to join this team and be able to help provide the same standard of excellence that this team has always delivered. I earned my DMD from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 2011, and completed my General Practice Residency at the VA Northern California Healthcare Hospital in Sacramento, California. Ive always been fascinated in learning the latest techniques and technologies which bring the greatest impact to dentistry. Dentistry is constantly evolving, and being able to bring those advancements to the patient translates to more options, better results, and better overall patient experiences. Ive also expanded my education beyond general dentistry and have expertise in many of the dental specialities.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy trying new things, new foods, and meeting new people. When I have time, I love to travel to new countries and explore. I have a maltese-poodle that I absolutely adore, and most of my time is spent with family. I can talk for days about fantasy football (Go Patriots!), and I also love to snowboard, listen to music, spend time painting as well as other creative endeavors.

It is extremely important to me that my patients are comfortable at all times. If you ever have any concerns, I invite you to take the time necessary to ask any questions at all and to feel at ease. Having full understanding while being comfortable is paramount no matter which professional you see, and I hope that I can provide that to you each and every time.

My patients are like family to me. I became a dentist to bring people together to be healthier, feel better about themselves, and have more fulfilling lives. More so, dentistry allows me to be an artist, a craftsman, and control my quality of workmanship. And everyone can enjoy my work when my patients smile.

I have enjoyed improving peoples smiles for over 33 years. In my early years as an undergraduate student at the University of Southern California (USC), I developed my skills and education in biology and psychology to aid me in caring for patients. While at USC Dental School, I developed my skills not just as a great clinician, but also as a doctor of concerned and comfortable dental care and treatment. This included language and listening skills that help to calm, inform and comfort my patients. My own experience with hypnosis for relaxation and treatment reinforced the importance of strong patient relationships and teaching patients how to be comfortable at the dentist.

As a Whittier dentist, I have developed relationships with the finest specialists to preserve peoples natural teeth. Although, I also provide care and treatment of the gums, root canals, extractions, and smile and implant design, I am very proud of the care and results of my team of orthodontists, periodontists (gums), endodontists (root canals), and oral surgeons that I call upon to consult and provide treatment for special conditions and needs. As one of the first dentists in 1986 to bring implant dentistry to Whittier, I replace missing teeth with a tooth-like replacement. With implant teeth, I create natural and comfortable smiles and bites when a natural tooth is lost to trauma or disease processes. As new technology is developed, I continue to expand my own knowledge of these specialized care areas with over 50 hours of continuing education per year.

Outside the dental office, I am a supporter of my community that includes donating my time, money and efforts to such organizations as the Greater Whittier YMCA, Boy Scouts of America, St. Mathias Soup Kitchen, Women and Childrens Crisis Center, Whittier Assistance League, Hillcrest Congregational Church, Habitat for Humanity, and many other worthwhile organizations. My family is most important to me. My wife, Pany, and I have taught our three wonderful children, Kirpa, Arjan, and Harbans, to give of their time and talents as well. This includes volunteering with Presbyterian Hospital, Whittier Public Library, Meals on Wheels, National Charity League, and other organizations. I am proud of their high honors and academic accomplishments in college. I am delighted to have my daughter, Kirpa, join my team as a dental hygienist two days a week. My son, Arjan, enjoys making movies and graduated from USC School of Cinematography. He is currently writing and pitching stories for film and television. Harbans recently graduated from Whittier College. He continues to work for the City of Whittier and the Whittier City Managers Office. My wife, Pany, helps with the office accounting and purchasing while volunteering for the Whittier Public Library Foundation as marketing manager. She also helps me with projects to benefit the Greater Whittier YMCA and other local groups.

In addition to enjoying family time and my work, I like networking for friends and patients as well as doing woodworking, hiking, skiing, kayaking, traveling, photography, music, and reading. Please ask me about these passions and dentistry on your next visit to our office.

Hello! My name is Cheryl. I am a sixth generation Californian, and a second-generation dental hygienist. My mother was a hygienist here in Whittier for 40 years. I began my career in 1978 as a dental technician. Although I loved working with my hands and constructing crowns and bridges, something was missing. I wanted to have direct connection with patients. In 1990, I graduated from Oregon Health Science University in Portland, Oregon with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. With the leaps of technology and the medical knowledge that oral health has on our bodies, I am proud to be a part of this exciting profession. I have worked as a team member in Dr. Sudicks dental practice for the past nine years. I find it very rewarding to be providing quality dentistry and education to our patients; to help them achieve optimal oral health as well as a smile they can be proud of. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my two beautiful daughters, Joleen and Sarah, doing girlie things and just hanging out. I also enjoy art, quilting, gardening, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I sincerely hope Ill have the chance to meet you. Until then, keep smiling!
