Dr. G. Shane Jessen has been practicing and caring for his patients for over 17 years in the Northern Utah area. He attended and graduated for Weber State University with an emphasis on Physiology and Chemistry. He attended the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, graduating with a Doctorate in Medical Dentistry (Magna Cum Laude). Dr. Jessen then completed a 4-year intensive surgical program in Oral andMaxillofacial Surgery at the Washington Hospital Center and Childrens Medical Center.
He served as Chief Resident at Washington Hospital Center his final year. Dr. Jessen is Board Certified with the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is Board Certified with the American Society of Dental Anesthesiologists. Dr. Jessen has dedicated his life and career to Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and the care of his patients.
In his personal time Dr. Jessen enjoys the adventurous life. If he is not at the gym challenging the cross-fit community. He enjoys anything outdoors from hiking, heli-skiing, mountain biking and fishing the rivers with his family.
Dr. Jessen is affiliated with Mckay-Dee Hospital and Ogden Regional Hospital with rights as an On-Call Trauma surgeon and to perform complex oral and facial surgeries for his patients. Dr. Jessen is committed to contributing his time and services to communities in Northern Utah. Dr. Jessen is always continuing his education or advancing and improving patients treatment.
Dr. Jessen devotes his services, talent, and skills in third world countries partnering with The Open Wide Foundation and Alliance of Hope, where people especially children who need oral and maxillofacial care. He donates his time educating colleagues, and college students by sharing his years of experience.
