Born in Montreal, Canada, Dr. Marcela Matamoros Radojevic {Dr. Rad for short} moved to Port St. Lucie, FL at the age of two.She graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a bachelor's degree in Biology as well as her DMD dental degree.
Following graduation, Dr. Rad attended the University of Colorado Denver for 30 months of additional orthodontic training and she thoroughly enjoyed life in the mountains with her husband, Stevan.Dr. Rad moved back to South Florida after completing 10 years of education, and practiced in the Miami area for three years after graduating.Since relocating back to Florida, Dr. Rad desired to move back to her hometown of Port St. Lucie to open her own practice.
Dr. Radojevic has also taken the extra step to pursue the elite status of board certification. The board certification process requires an orthodontist to pass a rigorous set of written and clinical examinations. Once certified, the orthodontist must become recertified every ten years to maintain board certified status.ABO Board Certification is a voluntary credential that represents an orthodontists personal and public commitment to the standards of specialty practice and lifelong learning. A Board Certified Orthodontist has reached this level of achievement by pursuing additional voluntary education and ongoing self-assessment.
