Dr. Robert T. Hurt III grew up in Cordele, a small town in Southwest Georgia. He received his Associate of Arts degree fromOxford College of Emory University. He then attendedGeorgia Southwestern State University, applied to dental school as a junior and was accepted to the Medical College of Georgia. He received his DMD degree from theMedical College of Georgiain 1992 and began practicing in Cordele. He is a member of theAmerican Dental Association, theGeorgia Dental Association, the Central District Dental Society and the Albany Periodontics-Restorative Club. He attends continuing education courses regularly to ensure he can provide the very best dental care for his patients. Dr. Hurt III, his wife and their 3 sons reside in Cordele and are members of Pinecrest Baptist Church.
Dr. Hurt Jr. has been practicing dentistry in Cordele, GA, for over 45 years. He began his schooling atMercer Universityin Macon, GA, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1963. After graduating, he began his post-graduate study in bio-chemistry at theUniversity of Georgiain Athens. Upon receiving his masters degree, he attendedEmory University, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1968. Dr. Hurt Jr. is a member of the Georgia Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Albany Periodontics-Restorative Club and the Cordele Rotary Club. He frequently attends dental conventions and continuing education seminars to remain current with the latest developments in the dental health field. Dr. Hurt Jr. and his wife live in Cordele and have raised two children together, Dr. Robert T. Hurt III and Dr. Gina L. Hurt, both of whom are dentists.
