Dr. Brian Hastings is a lifelong resident of Mattoon and graduated Mattoon High School in 1976. After graduating from Lake Land College, he completed his undergraduate education and received a teaching degree from Eastern Illinois University. In 1992 he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee and joined his father, Dr. Jerry Hastings in practice.
Dr. Brian Hastings is president of the Eastern Illinois Dental Society and an active member of the American Dental Association and the Illinois State Dental Society. He is married and has three grown sons, one of whom has recently joined the family practice. His hobbies include baseball, basketball, hunting and fishing. He and his wife, Wendy, also enjoy traveling. He is an avid Cardinals and Illini fan.
Dr. Myles Hastings enjoys providing comprehensive dentistry to families and patients of all ages from talking about dinosaurs and Disney princesses while working with young children to planning complex full-mouth rehabilitations, extracting wisdom teeth, completing smile makeovers and placing and restoring dental implants on adults.
Myles is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Myles is dedicated to his patients and takes time to get to know you to best understand your concerns and to deliver the best care tailored to your needs and desires. Myles is the grandson of the late Dr. Jerry Hastings and the son of Dr. Brian Hastings making him a third generation dentist.
Myles strives to stay up to date on the latest treatment options and technological advancements in dentistry. As a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society and serving on the Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital Foundation Board, Myles is active in organized dentistry and the local community. Myles also enjoys giving educational talks to school groups and other organizations (requests may be made by calling the office).
When not at work Myles enjoys spending time with his wife Molly and two young children Claire and Brooks. Myles loves cooking, watching movies and sports (especially Cardinals, Illini and Packers), and studying history and paleontology. Follow @drmyleshastings on Instagram
Dr. Chris Havlik graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Following his undergrad, he completed dental school at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in June of 2019. Dr. Havlik received the Student Award of Merit from the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and a Certificate of Recognition from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry for outstanding achievement.
Born and raised in Mattoon, IL, Dr. Havlik enjoys serving patients in and around the community and getting to know the familiar faces at our practice. Outside of work, Dr. Havlik's interests include golf, baseball (Cubs!) and coaching/umpiring men's baseball. He is engaged to marry Mattoon native, Megan Randolph (pictured), in May, 2020.
