Dr. Patch knew when he was 16 years old that he wanted to be a dentist. He never deviated from that path, working hard in all the sciences to make it happen. He graduated, a well-rounded student, from Grand Forks, North Dakotas Central High School, excelling in his education and participating in wrestling, football and pole-vault. He was a North Dakota state wrestling champion his senior year.
Dr. Gene Patch received his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University. He completed his dental-school studies at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After graduation, he completed a general practice residency in the U.S. Air Force. After serving four years in the Air Force as a dental officer, he established his private practice in Mandarin in 1985. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Northeast District Dental Association and the Jacksonville Dental Society. He stays current with the ever-changing improvements in dental care by attending continuing education classes each year.
Dr. Patch and his wife, Sarah, married for 40 years, are the parents of three sons and one daughter. They have six grandchildren. Their son Michael graduated from dental school in May 2013 and joined the practice. It has been an honor and privilege for Dr. Patch to serve the residents of Jacksonville with excellent dental care. With Dr. Michael Patch joining the team, there will be a continuity of that service for many years to come.
Sarah is the Office Coordinator of Dr. Patchs dental practice. She grew up in Jacksonville and graduated from Samuel Wolfson High School. She received a degree in communications/broadcasting from Brigham Young University. Meeting and getting to know patients is what she enjoys most.
Dr. Michael E. Patch is the son of Dr. Gene R. and Sarah Patch. He graduated in May of 2013 from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. He and his wife, Jen, have three children. Having grown up in the Mandarin area, he is excited to be back helping the community with their dental needs.
