Dr. Redmond was actually pretty young when he first thought about becoming a dentist for his career. In his childhood, he had family members on both sides who were dentists. While he didnt grow up around the work, it was definitely in his blood right away. In fact, he even saved his baby teeth when he officially joined the field, he took a much closer look at them! In college, he volunteered at the dental school at Florida, and that eye-opening experience convinced him that this was 100% the right path he should follow. All these years later, and he hasnt looked back!
After attending the University of Florida for his undergraduate degree, Dr. Redmond pursued his doctorate at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also attended a residency at Washington Dental School Hospital and recently completed a Comprehensive Implant Residency Program in Birmingham as well! He then bought his uncles practice in Sylacauga and came to make his home here. He is currently a member of the following dental organizations:
Dr. Redmond is happily married to his wife Joany; he has a son named Jake and two stepchildren named Jared and Emily, all of whom are grown. When he isnt busy at the dental office, he usually spends his free time fishing and running. He loves doing triathlons and endurance sports in particular. So far, hes completed approximately 15 marathons, including Boston, Chicago, New York, and the Marine Corps in Washington, DC! Hes also done seven 70.3 Ironman distance triathlons and one 140.6 Ironman distance triathlon.
