Welcome to Fairview Dental! Dr. Robert Busey and his team have been taking care of patients in Fairview, NC for nearly 40 years. He is excited to pass on the legacy he's created to Dr. Mike Martinsen, who will continue to work with our team to bring your family the exceptional dental care they've come to expect from Fairview Dental.
Dr. Martinsen looks forward to getting to know you on a personal basis as well as providing your family with the full range of dental services needed to maintain their beautiful smiles. You can rest assured that you'll still see all the familiar faces from our regular dental team.
Dr. Mike Martinsen received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He later received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Martinsen enjoys problem solving, a skill that led him to his first career as an Engineer. As a dentist he is most fulfilled when helping solve his patients dental related problems such as fear of the dentist, embarrassment with smiling, or pain or difficulty while eating.
Dr. Robert Busey earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from North Carolina State University and his dental degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has been president of the Buncombe County Dental Society since 2016 and won the LFR Founders Award in 2018.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Busey loves to put his pilot license to good useflying. He has also been an avid skydiver for over four decades. Dr. Busey enjoys scuba diving and playing racquetball as well.
When she is not helping patients in our dental office, Amy spends her free time hiking, traveling, being with family, and attending church. You might also catch sight of her volunteering in the community.
When she is not at work, Lisa likes to attend church with her husband and get together with family. She has grandchildren and enjoys watching the two oldest participate in sports and other activities. Lisa also likes to read, watch movies, and tune into HGTV.
Kelley received her Associates degree in Applied Science of Dental Hygiene in 1992. She has since spent most of her career in public health treating geriatric patients as well as those with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
What she enjoys most about being a hygienist is seeing a persons smile change for the better through education and treatment. Sometimes those healthy changes are only seen by her but are often the most rewarding.
She loves everything about her job, including helping people feel comfortable, working with and getting to know each patient, and assisting the dentist in all the various proceduresevery day is different!
