Eustis Lakeside Dental is a team of dedicated dental professionals on a mission to provide high quality dental care while creating a friendly treatment environment. Our goal is to educate patients about their oral health and its relationship to their overall health.
Eustis Lakeside Dental was founded in 1964 by Dr. Jerry Wilkins who created a practice with an emphasis on excellent patient care, community involvement, and philanthropy. Dr. Summer Young and Dr. Wade Winker bring that same vision and passion to the practice today. It was Dr. Winkers commitment to community that drew Dr. Young to join and eventually purchase the practice. Dr. Youngs commitment to quality patient care was Dr. Winkers number one reason for remaining in the practice and working alongside Dr. Young after the sale. Doctors Young and Winker work together daily to carry out the legacy begun by Dr. Wilkins.
The doctors at Eustis Lakeside Dental believe their skillsets confer a responsibility to help people. For that reason, Dr. Young and Dr. Winker volunteer with multiple local, national, and international organizations to facilitate dental clinics, international dental missions, and community outreach and education programs.
Our primary duty is the health, welfare, and comfort of our patients. Our office is equipped with the latest in dental technology and equipment. This means a more efficient, more comfortable visit for you, our patients. In addition to technology, we are committed to continued education, learning new methods and maintaining a high level of care.
Dr. Young is a Florida Native from the Tampa and Sarasota bay areas. She is a Graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of South Florida. Dr. Young is committed to serving others; prior to completing her doctorate in dentistry, she worked as an expanded functions dental assistant and practice manager. Dr. Young has been a committed member of the dental profession since 2001. She believes strongly in a comprehensive approach to dental care with an emphasis on patient education and building doctor-patient relationships. Dr. Young enjoys spending her free time gardening, boating, biking, and fishing with her husband and children as well as volunteering at various local health initiatives.
Dr. Winker has been practicing dentistry in Eustis since 1993. He was a dentist in the U.S. Navy for four years following graduation from the Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1987 where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He was born and raised in College Park, Maryland where he attended the University of Maryland and studied music performance and biochemistry. Dr. Winker enjoys treating patients from all walks of life and treats them all with a caring, personal touch.
Tina has been providing outstanding dental hygiene care in our practice since 2000. She takes pride working in this practice because of our effective teamwork and she enjoys following Dr. Young as an ethical leader. Tina is a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist and received her degree from Valencia Community College and her Bachelors of Arts from St. Petersburg College.Tina has one son and one English Springer Spaniel. She enjoys stained glass, quilting, gardening, and being a foster mom for English Springer Rescue.
Kaitlyn joined the Eustis Lakeside dental in January 2021. A graduate of Valencia College, she is a registered dental hygienist and has been practicing for 5 years. Kaitlyn was raised in Lake County and grew up in Tavares. She and her husband have a little girl and just recently welcomed a new baby boy into the world in November 2020.In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Maritza is a native Floridian born and raised in Lake County. She graduated from Tavares High School in 2012, and shortly after attended Lake Sumter State College. Maritza earned her Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification from the Greater Orlando Dental Assisting School in 2015. She began her career in dentistry that same year. Maritza has been a member of the Eustis Lakeside Dental team since July 2016 and has enjoyed every bit of it!
Susie joined the practice in January 2014 and has quickly become a staff and patient favorite. She is bilingual (English and Spanish). She and her family moved to Lake County in 1992 from California. She is a 2009 graduate of Eustis High School. Susie completed a her dental assisting program at Concord Career Institute in Orlando and her expanded function dental assistant training with the state of Florida. She enjoys improving herself, learning new things, and enjoys helping to educate patients. Susie loves the outdoors, spending time with her family and son.
Donna has worked at Eustis Lakeside Dental since 2003 as the office administrator and enjoys her job, as every day presents a unique experience assisting our patients and welcoming new patients to our practice. She is the proud mother of a son who served in the U. S. Army. and is now an Army Veteran. Donna also enjoys spoiling her young granddaughter. She is an avid Tampa Bay Lightning hockey fan and cheers for the Lightning to bring the Stanley Cup back to Florida! Donna enjoys the Florida sunshine and spending her free time biking, walking and swimming. She is an active Christian and embraces her relationship with the Lord.
Justine was born in Jamaica and migrated to Florida at age eleven. She graduated from Mount Dora High School in 2013, and shortly after attended Lake Sumter State College. Justine earned her Expanded Function Dental Assisting Certification from Greater Orlando Dental Assisting School in 2016.
She has been in dentistry since 2015 andjoined Eustis Lakeside Dental in August 2021. She is continuing her studies taking classes at Valencia State College.In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, son and extended family, doing outdoor activities and shopping.
