If you are tired of loose or uncomfortable removable dentures or badly broken down teeth, HYBRIDGE dental implants may be a viable option for you. HYBRIDGE is an implant retained u-shaped bridge that replaces all the teeth in the upper or lower arch. The bridge is attached to the implants with screws, making it secure and only removable by your dentist. Patients choose HYBRIDGE dental implants because it is proven to be effective and safe with visually appealing results. It also provides better function such as eating, speaking, and bone loss prevention, with the convenience of a fixed appliance.
Some patients prefer the removable overdentures which snap in by clips or over a denture bar. Overdentures look like conventional removable dentures but operate differently. The clips allow them to snap directly onto an implant or custom- made denture bar. The denture is removable for easy cleaning around the implants as well as the denture itself. This type of denture adds stability making it easier to eat, speak clearly, as well as preventing bone loss.
Wisdom teeth, also known as the third molars, are typically removed to avoid complications in dental development. They can also cause defects in the bone or the association of cysts in the third molar area. Its difficult to clean the wisdom tooth area, making it possible for painful infections to develop. The best time to have wisdom teeth removed is usually during the late teens or very early 20s. At this time, the wisdom teeth have not fully developed and are much easier to remove.
The augmentation process will improve the outcome of any tooth-replacement procedure. Once a tooth has been lost (except wisdom teeth), it is essential to replace it as soon as possible to prevent tipping of the adjacent teeth into the extraction site. Choosing not to replace a missing tooth can lead to the loss of additional teeth, loss of jawbone, and decreased bite stability. We will discuss your tooth replacement options and have a plan in place before extraction.
A sinus lift procedure may be necessary for patients who have suffered significant bone loss on the upper arch and do not have sufficient bone support necessary for implants. With a sinus lift or augmentation, we incorporate the bone needed to support dental implants so patients can have their natural-looking smile again.
Our 3-D Cone Beam Scan produces a powerful three-dimensional scan of the head, neck and jaw. This scan is similar to a CAT Scan but omits far less radiation. The scan has multiple uses, including diagnosing oral surgery pathology, implant surgery, TMJ, orthodontics, sleep apnea or snoring and endodontics. It also allows us to educate our patients on their oral condition.
With modern and digital radiography, you can have your X-rays quickly and with minimal harm to your body. The X-ray is accomplished by exposing a small sensor or plate that feeds the image into a computer. Because there is no chemical development, digital X-rays are safer for the environment and give off 80% less radiation than conventional X-rays. We can email the images to specialists and insurance companies.
Using a highly advanced piece of diagnostic equipment called the intraoral camera, we can show you images of one tooth or your entire mouth. You will be able to see problems such as cracked teeth, leaking or failing fillings, plaque build-up, broken teeth, and more. We can also print these images to take home or send them to your insurance company for supporting documentation.
We have invested in a partnership with the Caesy Education System to help patients understand the why and how of dental procedures and technology. If patients are educated on dental health, they can make the right decisions regarding what dental procedure is right for them. We are also able to inform patients on post-op care for nearly every dental procedure we do. These short one to two-minute videos are designed to educate the patients on why a procedure is recommended and how we will accomplish it.
The soft tissue laser is the size of a dental handpiece and uses a highly energized light beam to sculpt and cauterize the soft tissue all at the same time. The laser beam sterilizes the tissue and reduces your chance of infection with little to no bleeding. It is very precise, leaving surrounding tissues untouched. We can use lasers for a variety of procedures such as: Crown lengthening to improve your smile Remove gum tissue without cutting Remove cold sores and lesions Sterilize areas infected with bacteria
