Dr. Josh Drake was born and raised in Hartselle, Alabama and graduated from Hartselle High School in 1997. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating in 2002 with abachelors degree in biology and a minor in chemistry.From therehe entered the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2006.
Dr. Drake enjoys helping others and sharing his skills to influence them in a positive way. He views his role as a dentist as being a teacher. He enjoys educating his patients on prevention and helping them develop good dental habits. He also wants to be sure his patients fully understand their dental condition and any treatment they will need, and will patiently answer all their questions about that.
He also enjoys working with his hands and fixing things. When asked what he finds particularly satisfying about what he does, he said that he loves being able to discover a problem that a patient has and then being able to fix it so that it has a positive impact on that patients life.
He also has a particular interest in nutrition and the role that it plays in dental and overall health. He enjoys teaching his patients how knowledge about this and other issues can help them prevent dental and general disease.
In his free time, Dr. Drake can be found coaching at the local gym or working out himself. He relishes taking a hike or playing with his loyal dog, Taz. He enjoys spending time with his family and maintaining a balanced life.
Dr. Lauren Drake Wallace, a native of Hartselle, AL, is a graduate of Hartselle High School where she was a multi-sport athlete. Upon graduation, she went to Auburn University where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in biomedical sciences. Dr. Wallace joined the practice in 2015 after receiving her DMD degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry.
Dr. Wallace believes in prevention (prevention! prevention!) and early intervention. She is also interested in helping her patients achieve excellent general health and enjoys explaining how dental issues can influence overall health.
She is respected as a great listenerwhether a painful tooth or a cosmetic concernand addresses the issue as quickly as possible. Shell take the time to answer all your questions and explain whatever you want her to explain.
In her spare time, Dr. Wallace enjoys spending time with her husband, Brandon, also a Hartselle native. Frequently, they can be found attending a concert, taking a hike or enjoying the beach. At every chance, they will cheer on their beloved Auburn. Go Tigers!They share their home with their Siberian husky, Koa, and their cat, Chino. In December of 2020, Dr. Wallace and her husband welcomed their first child, daughter Norah, into their family and are thrilled to be parents.
Stacey came to us from Florida in 2007, where she received her Registered Dental Assisting certificate in 2001. Stacey assists Dr. Drake with patients as well as fulfilling many other roles in the office.
Rachel is one of our full time hygienists and has been with our practice since 2013. She received her Registered Dental Hygiene license from Wallace State Community College in 2012. She and her husband Joe live in Decatur.
Deborah came to our practice in april 2014. She began her career in dentistry in 1989, where she attended Calhoun Community College for dental assisting. She completed the Dental Hygiene program at UAB in 1993.
Lauren started at our practice in 2016. She began her career in dentistry in 2005, when she received her dental assisting certification from Wallace State Community College. She completed the Alabama Dental Hygiene program in 2008. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Jonathan, and their three daughters.
Moni is a dental assistant. She went into the dental field because she wanted to help patients feel confident about their smiles. A graduate of North Alabama Dental Assisting Program, Moni loves her job and is motivated to come to work every day because it gives her an opportunity to make a real difference in someones life. One thing she finds particularly satisfying is when they are seating a crown that looks natural and perfect with the patients smile. When Moni is not working, she loves to exercise and spend time with her husband and daughter.
Tiffany is a dental assistant with us. She has been in this field since she completed the Dental Assisting Program at Calhoun. When she isnt working, Tiffany loves to spend time with her husband and their two sons.
Carly is both a dental hygienist and dental assistant with us. Shes worked in the dental field since 2014 as a graduate from the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program from UAB. When Carly is not working you can find her in spin class, running with her labradoodle Reagan, or boating in the summer months.
