Dr. Erik grew up in the nearby town of West Newbury, MA. He attended Pentucket Regional High School and was also involved with a local swim team where he met his wife, Dr. Karen. He attended the University of Massachusetts and earned his bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology. After working as a phlebotomist at MGH in Boston, he ultimately decided on the field of dentistry.
He then attended Temple Universitys Kornberg School of Dentistry and obtained his doctorate of medical dentistry (DMD) alongside Dr. Karen. While at Temple, Dr. Erik excelled in the clinical aspect of dentistry and received the Dentsply International Merit award for Removable Prosthodontics. He was also the president of the Stomatognathic Honor Society which focuses on total mouth reconstruction using Dental Implants and Prosthodontics.
Dr. Erik has gone on to complete a Maxicourse certification. This is an advanced surgical training for Dental Implantology, which consists of over 300 continuing education units focusing on the placement and restoration of dental implants, bone grafting, and prosthetic reconstruction.
Dr. Erik is passionate about his patients well-being and focuses on treating the patient as a whole. He is an advocate for total body health and wellness. Dr. Erik himself enjoys and participates in all activities such as biking, swimming, running, hiking and just being outdoors. He is often spending time with his family and two daughters who are New England competitive swimmers. Dr. Erik and Dr. Karen live in a nearby New Hampshire community.
Dr. Karen grew up in Salem, N.H. and attended Salem High School. She was involved in many community activities such as the Boys and Girls Club and a local swim team. She received the Youth of the Year award for her all-around commitments to school, sports and the community.
She graduated from Westfield State College with an Undergraduate degree in Biology. She then attended Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to complete her doctorate. Karen now enjoys living in a nearby community with herhusband, Erik and their children.
