Dr. M. Derek Davis graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2008. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Davis worked in the financial services field and in banking, before deciding to return to his passion of healthcare in the dental field. After dental school, Dr. Davis and his wife, Gainor, returned to Gainors hometown of Amarillo. Dr. Davis established his own private practice in May of 2010 and has been in his current location since January 2011. Dr. Davis opened a satellite office in Dimmitt, TX in 2012 and travels there most Thursdays to treat with the same philosophy and full service office that he maintains in Amarillo.
Dr. Davis is a member with the American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Dental Association (TDA), PDDS, International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics (IACA), and Las Vegas Institute (LVI). He serves on multiple boards within the community. When hes not busy creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Davis enjoys playing golf, hunting, and traveling with his family, including his wife and 2 boys.
Andrea grew up in Amarillo and attended Bible Heritage Christian School. Shes had the desire to be a dental hygienist since fifth grade. In 2006 she was accepted into the Amarillo College Dental Hygiene program and graduated in 2008. After graduation she got married and she and her husband currently reside in Amarillo with their son, Hudson, and their two dogs. She enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with family. Andrea joined Dr. Davis in September of 2012.
Katie grew up in Amarillo. After graduating from Tascosa High School, she attended Texas Christian University to obtain a BA in Communication Studies. Katie graduated in 2006 and moved to Breckenridge, Colorado where she enjoyed skiing and hiking before starting a career in office management. After six years in the mountains, she and her husband moved back to Amarillo. Katie joined Dr. Davis in November of 2012.
Jean was born in Anderson, Indiana and raised in Indianapolis. After graduating high school, she attended Professional Careers Institute for Dental Assisting, graduating in 1985. Jean and her two sons relocated to Amarillo after living on South Padre Island for 6 years. She was married in 2008 and loves spending time with her family, granddaughter, and dogs. Jean has a special interest, and years of experience, in TMJ and associated sleep apnea diagnosis and treatment, and joined Dr. Davis in July of 2008.
